WHAT. A. DAY!!! 🙌
•
After a day of celebrating their arrival at Madgalenefjoden, the team slip-sided their way down the glacier, when they saw their pick-up vessel on it's way to them. 🛥️
•
Sailboat, 'Nanuk' picked up the team from the ice about an hour ago; the girls, and all their luggage, are now safe onboard the vessel, and they will soon start making their way back to Longyearbyen. 💪
•
However, that is not a short journey, and involves a 132 nautical mile trip on the arctic seas, so they won't make land until Wednesday afternoon...let's hope none of the team suffer with seasickness! 🤢
•
And it really is a bitter sweet moment - yes they're safe on the boat, they have another person to speak to, and there isn't the ever-present risk of being mauled by a polar bear or slipping down a crevasse.....BUT, the utter unspoilt beauty that this team have experienced is going to sorely missed. Those epic landscapes, those hilarious tent parties, those amazing bonds between each other....those are the things that will occupy their dreams for many years to come. They'll fuel the stories they tell to anyone that will listen...and you can be absolutely sure that this Girls Trip will not be the last! 🤩
•
A HUGE thank you to @denplan to @shackletonofficial to @rgs_ibg and to @rradarofficial for all of their support - we'll keep you updated until the team get back to land before handing back the social media reigns to the team themselves! 🫶

THEY'VE MADE IT! 🥳🎉🎊
•
Last night the team made it to the top of the glacier at the edge of Madgalenefjoden! They're now waiting until they see their pickup boat approaching, at which point they'll slide down the glacier to the water's edge to meet them. ⛷️
•
It was a cloudy day yesterday, but as if the heavens were rewarding the team for a job well done; the clouds cleared and the sun came out as they arrived - and as you can see, it's absolutely stunning! 😍
•
In true form, Cat treated the team to a free dental check up, in a comfortable but perhaps chilly dental chair, but was perhaps limited in the choice of treatments on offer! (See photos!) 🦷 ⛏️
•
When she reported in last night she said "It almost feels unreal that we are here, a place we have talked about and researched for so long." 🤗
•
The team built a sofa from snow to enjoy dinner with one of the best views in the world. And as they sat there, they reflected on not only the past 19 days, but all the months of planning, training and hard work that has gone in to this...the wonderful success that is Girls Trip! 🙌
•
Throughout the expedition the team have struggled with their internet access - they have sent back what they can, but rest assured there are SO many elements to this expedition, and so much still to share. So they're all excited to continue the trip's legacy once they are home and to give you all a proper insight once they are back in the land of WiFi! 🛜
•
The pick up vessel should arrive around 7-8pm local time, and so one epic downhill stetch, one final snow sample to process, and then they'll board the sailboat and start making their way back to civilisation! 🤩

•
Remember, this all-woman team is taking on the rare north-west traverse of Svalbard in support of the amazing @girlsontheruninternational. Please support the mission by donating via the link in bio.

Today we're not even going to attempt to write anything clever - because Cat has written her own words about last nights camp, and they are WONDERFUL!!
•
"At the start of the expedition, when I said we’d found the worlds best campsite, I was wrong. This is it. WHAT. A. DAY!
•
"Absolutely incredible and we all agree that it has been the best day of the expedition by far(….and for me, one of the best days of my life). It was the perfect mix of hard work and great reward. We were woken by a chorus of birdsong, which came as a surprise and throughout the day, we would hear birds singing out.
•
"It has been a day of steep uphill through deep snow, but crikey, did the views deliver to give the energy boost just when it was needed. It has felt like skiing through a painting. The sun came out, snow gently fell and the wind dropped. Some of the best views were behind us, serving as a real treat when it came to break time, where we stood in silence just soaking it all in, knowing that the camera wouldn’t do it justice.
•
"The campsite revealed an interesting quirk…a surreal echo. So clear, and seconds after a shout, a highly sung note 🎵 or perhaps one of the airhorns 😆 Little things can give some of the greatest pleasures 😆
•
"The energy on the camp is high and we’re looking forward to a similar day tomorrow, even if it does mean hard work for the person at the front, breaking trail.
•
"Time to collect snow again to continue the science work. Being so high and with everything looking so pristine, it’s hard to believe that there could be any kind of pollution, but we will see.
We’ll all sleep well tonight, knowing that we’ve experienced a day that’s going to be hard to beat."
•

We’ll all sleep well tonight, knowing that we’ve experienced a day that’s going to be hard to beat."

•

Yesterday Cat told us about the whiteout conditions they'd been dealing with and some of these pictures really highlight this - making your way through these conditions is challenging at the best of times, but coupled with the increased crevassing, and the increased polar bear risk, it suddenly becomes clear why the team paused yesterday. 👍
•
Today though, they are back on their way, pushing the final miles to the awaiting pick up vessel that will extract them from the northern tip of Svalbard. 🛥️
•
It's been an incredible journey so far - and we can't wait to get the next update from the team! 😍

At the BDCDS later this month, we’re proud to be supporting two talks in the Starting Out Theatre. 🍏
🗓 Friday 15 May | 12:00-1:00pm
🎤Transitioning to private dentistry: when and how to make the shift
📍 Starting Out Theatre
with Matthew Nolan our Head Dental Officer, and Associate Dentists Zain Rizvi and Luke Greenwood
This session will explore:
• The key factors influencing a move towards private dentistry
• When the timing is right – and how to approach the transition
• Real life case studies from associates who’ve made the shift, sharing the decisions they took and how these have shaped the dentistry they practise today
Register at the link in bio.
🗓 Saturday 16 May | 12:45-1:15pm
🎤 Adopting the dental therapist model into general dental practice
📍 Starting Out Theatre
With Andrew Ridout, Denplan member dentist
Andy will share his first hand experience of adopting a therapist led model in his Cornwall based practice, including:
• Employing an overseas trained dentist registered as a dental therapist
• How this enabled him to focus on more complex treatments
• Growing his patient base by around 30% through a revised team approach
Register at the link in bio.
Are you heading to the British Dental Conference & Dentistry Show in a couple of weeks? Will we see you in the Starting Out Theatre? Let us know in the comments!

We don't want to alarm anyone...but reports are coming back from the ice that the Monacobreen glacier...is haunted. 👻
•
Two of the team could hear eery music being played in the middle of the night, and also both woke up on separate occasions, convinced they’d heard the polar bear fence bangers go off. It has left them a little on edge. 😬
•
Aside from the para-normal, the team exerienced mixed visibility yesterday, and soft, powdery snow which made setting trail a little more like hard work. 😩
•
They stopped just before needing to take a left turn up a steep mountain pass, and decided that that kind of effort will be best to tackle after a good breakfast! 🥣
•
In camp, the artistic skills of the team were in full display. Toilet visits in particular, have become more luxurious, as Jen created a top notch loo, with excellent wind protection for those exposed behinds. 🌬️🧻
•
As they continued north, the team were aware that they're on a bit of a glacial highway to the sea ice, and so senses are heightened for polar bears. Keeping watch and losing sleep is most definitely the least fun part of expedition life for them, but Cat reports that "with an impressive throne overlooking camp and the glacier beyond, with space for binoculars, flare guns, air horns and a rifle, we’ve made it as ‘bearable’ as possible! 🥁"

•
Remember, this all-woman team is taking on the rare north-west traverse of Svalbard in support of the amazing @girlsontheruninternational. Please support the mission by donating via the link in bio.

Yesterday began with the team needed to dig themselves out! 😯
•
As with the previous day, their tents and pulks were partially buried under the huge amount of snow that has been falling recently. 🌨️
•
The team have now entered the Nordvest-Spitsbergen National Park, and the mountain ranges have become dramatic, making the team feel very small! Thankfully, as they neared those mountains they experienced increasing visibility. 🌄
•
As they continued, they summitted a crest and then began their first bit of downhill skiing of the expedition. Something that's very challenging whilst you're being chased by your pulk, that appears to have a mind of it's own! But team spirits are very high, and this 'problem' brought out lots of cheers and laughter. 😂
•
At the end of a good day of progress, the team set up camp in an amazing location and began to work processing their snow samples to add to the science data collection. 🧪
•
With spirits still high, the tent party moved outside and they built a snow sofa to enjoy party snacks of Pringles and Cat's ‘day 10’ cocktail! 🍸
•
For the last two days the team have been treated to a flying display from a Kittiwake, swooping back and forth along their camp line to check the team out, as if to wish them luck. Then, moments after the team sent us the last lot of photos the Kittiwake turned up again! 🕊️
•
With plenty of time in the bag and wanting to spend minimal time in the risky polar bear regions ahead, today the team are off out on a day trip from this campsite. They will rope up as they are in an area of visible crevassing, and plan to visit some nearby blue ice and have a day of exploring and filming. 🎥

The Competition and Market Authority’s (CMA) review of private dentistry is an opportunity to spotlight the realities of dental care for dentists, their teams, and patients alike.
From championing transparency and patient choice to highlighting challenges relating to workforce pressures and access, this is a critical moment for the sector. At Denplan, supporting our members means not only providing practical tools and services, but also making sure your voice is heard in national policy discussions like this one.
We have submitted detailed evidence to the review, with the aim of ensuring the realities of delivering dental care are understood and that the interests of our members and your patients are protected.
In our latest blog, Matthew Nolan, Denplan’s Head Dental Officer, explains what the review is, how we have responded, and what happens next (blog link in bio).
We’d also welcome you to share your perspectives in the comments.

Finally the team had a morning without having to battle the wind, and what a difference it made…especially to the temperature. 📈
•
For the first couple of hours, in the Cat's words; "Girls Trip became Girls Strip", as they removed layers! Temperatures had 'soared' to a 'barmy' -5 degrees!! 😎
•
However, it didn’t last long, and before long the wind had picked back up, making setting up camp a little challenging. 🏕️
•
Yesterday they were in and out of visibility, which meant less distraction from the scenery, and more inward thoughts. When she updated us, Cat said that one of the best parts of polar travel is the solitude, even within a team. "It is a luxury to have the time and space to daydream and we all love that and the perspective it gives you." 🙌
•
In other news the team also want to reassure Dr Kirsty Docwra that they are being meticulous in the data collection for the female health research that they are doing. There has never been so much enthusiasm for discussing bodily functions 😂
•
Starlink is being a little temperamental at the moment so the images today are very compressed, but normal service wil resume shortly! 📡

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
Anonstories lets users view Instagram stories without alerting the creator.
Works seamlessly on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and modern browsers like Chrome and Safari.
Prioritizes secure, anonymous browsing without requiring login credentials.
Users can view public stories by simply entering a username—no account needed.
Downloads photos (JPEG) and videos (MP4) with ease.
The service is free to use.
Content from private accounts can only be accessed by followers.
Files are for personal or educational use only and must comply with copyright rules.
Enter a public username to view or download stories. The service generates direct links for saving content locally.
