One of my recent (and long-standing) hyperfixations has been knitting. The tactility and portability of the medium really appeal to me. Last summer I had a dream of knitting all through autumn and winter, and I did!

This is the Fish Hat [Dead or Alive] by Thelma Egberts, a pattern from 2008. A project I made using thrifted yarns, knitted while I was visiting my sister, and I think now that trip is woven into the rows of this knitwear.

Knitting has become a big part how I spend my free time and I'm endlessly impressed by its benefits on my mental health. For anyone who has been curious about fibre arts, I encourage you to try it!

I was also supposed to add eyes to this pattern, but coincidentally I have every colour felt except for white, so that'll come later.

An artwork inspired by the sycamore moth (in its caterpillar form) - see last photo. I was going through my photos recently and stumbled upon a photo of one that I took a couple of years ago.

'Sycamore' is shown here with their signature caterpillar colourations, adorned with the leaves, bark and seeds of the sycamore tree on their outfit.

I'm still feeling a bit rusty getting back into drawing recently, I want to do funkier and stranger stuff, but this is a good start at least!

Re-emerging from hibernation with this transmasc lotus prince with his lover (its like a princess and the frog kinda thing lol).

Trying out pencils again was fun, but my hand hurts 😅

More stuff to come soon, maybe I'll finally even get around to posting some of my synth and music stuff 👀

‘Tool’ is the first of a new series of Maker Stories from Tactology Lab 3, which took place in 2025.

In this video, Ilya talks about the process of developing massive hand tools as musical instruments. Ilya Tokareva (@does_ilya_exist), Olaf Wisselink (@olafwisselink) and Manouk Hasebos (@knofluck) explored the movements associated with a saw, a screwdriver and a hammer 🪚🔨🪛

📺Watch the full Maker Story on our website and YouTube channel.

📅The participants of Tactology Lab 4 will perform their experimental instruments on April 12th at Rewire Festival (@rewirefestival).

🛠️Maker Stories are short documentaries that give a behind-the-scenes look at what Tactology Lab participants worked on and how they went about it. You’ll hear them talk about their creative process in their own words, recorded while they were still in the middle of the program.

Earlier this year, the participants of Tactology Lab 3 performed at @rewirefestival 2025. Ilya Tokareva (@tokarr.i), Olaf Wisselink (@olafwisselink) and Manouk Hasebos (@knofluck) focused on the maker’s relations to machines and tools as extension of the body, and explored tools scaled up to the extreme as electronic musical instruments.

You can find a full recap of Tactology Lab 3: Craft on our new YouTube channel linked in the bio! And at the end of this month a new call for participants will open for Tactology Lab 4, so stay tuned 👀

Another Tactology Lab 3 making process recap! Ilya, Olaf and Manouk worked on huge, interactive tools and explored various techniques and technologies at the @uitvindersgilde to make them a reality. Ilya: “I think Tactology Lab is about experimenting, exploring and collaborating. It’s really interesting how you can bring so many different creative people from very different backgrounds and the unique perspectives that they bring together, to create one kind of project that also encompasses so many different parts. You’re creating instruments, but you’re also creating a performance, you’re also creating sound; and merging all of these you get to learn so much.”

We’ll continue to dive into the process of each group that participated in Tactology Lab 3. Ilya Tokareva, Olaf Wisselink and Manouk Hasebos made massive hand tools with embedded sensors to capture the enlarged gestures and interaction with them. At the @uitvindersgilde, they worked on an XXL hammer, saw and screwdriver, explored materials such as conductive wool, and started with connecting sounds to interactions. Ilya: “Our performance is very focused on exaggerating the movement that often goes unnoticed with the use of tools like the hammer. There’s a very distinct motion to a hammer, but how can we exaggerate that, and look beyond?”

Ilya Tokareva is a Ukrainian artist and multidisciplinary maker who’s design craft is very focused on repurposing materials, encouraging a DIY/maker attitude and creating unique interactions. 🛠️

Zines are a core focus of his craft and self-expression, he makes collage-zines reflecting on the complexity of identity, as well as the curious and the mundane.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
