Torniamo replicando la serata di attivismo a supporto, questa volta, del popolo Libanese. In collaborazione con il @cinemaaquila scegliamo nuovamente di dar spazio a tutte quelle voci che resistono con forza al tentativo di essere eliminate e silenziate.

Le attiviste @miressenze e @aiwalarun assieme a Rima Al-Azar, cooperatrice internazionale, presenteranno i quattro corti di registe libanesi: @laura.menassa, @aliahaju, @farrahberrou e @fatiimajoumaa, che attraverso le loro storie raccontano la perdita e la resistenza nella quotidianità della vita di un popolo.

Questo ci siamo dett3 mentre provavamo a immaginare il corpo simbolico della nuova edizione del Sirene Festival: ancora una volta, una creatura lontana dall’immaginario docile-addomesticato-dolce-levigato; una creatura del margine, tra magnifico e mostruoso, che non chiede di essere compresa per esistere.

La sua forma porta dentro Scilla e Cariddi, il mito e il mare, il corpo non conforme, i segni subiti, quelli desiderati, quelli scelti. La favolosità di ciò che il giudizio vorrebbe chiamare mostro.

Witches Are Back è un collettivo internazionale di artiste/* indipendenti, appartenenti a varie scene underground, sganciate/* totalmente dalle logiche mainstream di mercificazione del panorama artistico e culturale, con un intenso focus politico sull'attivismo transfemminista intersezionale e dagli inequivocabili contenuti esoterici.

Il progetto nasce a Roma nel 2010 e si sposta a Berlino nel 2015, dove magiche creature provenienti da diverse parti del mondo si sono unite al team, con l’obiettivo di dare ad artiste/* della scena underground e al loro pubblico più spazi "sexism free" e "queer safe" nei quali esprimersi, in eventi organizzati professionalmente che includono performance art, concerti, DJ set, talk e mostre d'arte, promuovendo così il talento creativo e dando nuovi stimoli alle culture alternative.

In oltre una decade di attività´, Witches Are Back ha ispirato generazioni di artiste/*, creative/*, e attiviste/*, contribuendo in maniera fondamentale a portare in auge la figura della strega in quanto protagonista assoluta dell'immaginario della lotta transfemminista contemporanea.
