LYRE BYRDLAND
Sydney’s 10-piece instrumental groove machine has built a serious reputation since forming in 2014. Afrobeat, funk, brass, percussion and a rhythm section locked so tight it hurts. Inspired by artists like Fela Kuti, The Daktaris, Daft Punk and Snarky Puppy, their live shows are all about movement. Once the groove settles in, it doesn’t let go.
BLACKBIRD HUM
Big-band roots reggae and dub with deep grooves, striking harmonies, horns, percussion and delay-soaked keys. These guys have shared stages with The Original Wailers, Third World, Arrested Development and more, alongside festival appearances across Australia and overseas. A seriously powerful live band.
RATTLECAT
Returning for the first time in nearly a decade.Northern Beaches favourite Josh Fergus brings his original project Rattlecat out of retirement after years away raising a family and quietly writing new material. Former frontman of reggae outfit 'The Flavor' and long-time groove merchant of the local scene, this is a rare return and not one to miss.
