We’ve spent years getting to know the incredible team at Wavelength, and when they told us about their vision for a sports vertical spanning social, YouTube, branded, and big-screen storytelling, the synergies hit like a vintage Mike Tyson hook.

After two years of grinding as a small but mighty independent shop, Duplex Deli has been acquired by @wavelengthprods —the powerhouse behind docs like “Won’t You Be My Neighbor”, “Rather”, “Athlete A”, and “32 Sounds” (plus a 🔥 new sports series we’ll be announcing soon 👀).

We Are King follows MLK on a season of ups and downs in their quest for a 20th city championship in 25 years. We followed @coachjakenyc and the kids of @mlk_nyc_soccer through after-school practices, tense matches, and the quiet moments in between. From the pitch to their homes, from the Bronx to Randall’s Island, this is a coming of age story about one of the winningest programs in the world, at any level, in any sport.

First, we got to collaborate with @adobe, a brand and product that’s critical to our day-to-day work at @duplex_deli.
