We all know about the horrors that the palm oil and palm kernel industry wreak upon wild animal habitats, and the vast amounts of deforestation caused by harvesting them. 🦧

However, did you know that one of the primary uses for them is in animal feed? Palm kernel and oil are a rich source of nutrients for livestock and are thus used widely across the industry. In fact, industry recommendations are to use palm for approximately 25% of feed for animals such as cows, chickens, and even farmed fish. In short, if you're concerned about palm deforestation, the best thing you can do is stop eating animal products.

This is why we say that changing how you eat is *the* single biggest way you can change your impact on the planet. Even if we manage to stop all CO₂ emissions, the Earth's temperature will still rise by 2°C due to animal agriculture.
However, this is also empowering – changing the fate of our world is as simple as changing how you eat. You have the power. 💚
