Inside, the layout takes cues from historical casino typologies: a fluid sequence of clusters organized around a central dome, hosting the roulette as both installation and spatial metaphor. Around it, activation zones unfold — immersive rooms, photo calls, and moments of surprise that draw visitors into the YSL Beauty universe.
This architecture is activated through The Love Game, a gamified experience for a playful and unapologetic audience. A scenography built to live in digital media and spread through social platforms. Under the claim “ready to go beyond filters, limits and labels,” beauty becomes a game — one that everyone is invited to play with confidence.

On the eve of the runway, we designed an ephemeral scenography that echoed the elegance of a landscaped garden. Inspired by the theatrical tradition of the folies — whimsical garden pavilions that invited play, surprise, and intimacy — the space unfolded as a sequence of open-air rooms for encounter, celebration, and anticipation.

Weaving light, evoking heritage.
The lightweight canopy structure draws from the spatial rhythms of traditional dhow workshops, translating principles of craft into a contemporary architectural language. Light is filtered and modulated, creating a clear structural order and a controlled atmospheric quality.
The lifted edge of the canopy defines the main entrance, establishing a legible threshold and a deliberate gesture of openness toward the city.
Within, a sculptural element referencing the dhow rises through the canopy and aligns toward Mutrah’s Corniche, reinforcing the building’s relationship with the coastal landscape and situating the vessel as the conceptual and spatial core of the project.

The lifted edge of the canopy defines the main entrance, establishing a legible threshold and a deliberate gesture of openness toward the city.
Within, a sculptural element referencing the dhow rises through the canopy and aligns toward Mutrah’s Corniche, reinforcing the building’s relationship with the coastal landscape and situating the vessel as the conceptual and spatial core of the project.
