Péi Brilé / Pays Brûlé / Burnt Land (Maxime Brygo)

‘Péi Brilé’ is a project by @maxime.brygo that reconsiders the myths of Réunion Island through the figure of Robinson, a symbol of survival, humility and self-reliance. Through personal encounters with people living outside mainstream society in the hard-to-reach mountains, he reflects both on the island’s colonial history and examines what it means to inhabit a place. The book brings together a range of visual and textual materials, such as black-and-white images of mountains, colour landscapes and portraits of the island’s current inhabitants living in its recesses and hollows. The visuals are accompanied by historical and poetic texts about Réunion, mixing eras and myths.

Is nature a place, an all-encompassing system, or an ideal that we carry within us? The work of @bas_ketelaars (NL) emerges from an interest in the problem of representing nature. A nature that is unreachably far away and yet all around us. Ketelaars explores the landscape in a personal and experiential way, interested in both the means of photography and drawing, in order to create images where different systems produce the image together. Edges of Landscape is a work in itself in which Ketelaars combines his photographic material with drawings in an experimental manner for the first time.

Fourteen Leaves and a Cup of Water by Michelle Piergoelam is now at the Tipi find it in via Linkin.bio

To know a plant is to know something about survival. Which leaf heals. Which bark, dissolved in water, carries a person through the night. This knowledge was not written down — it moved through bodies, between hands, spoken quietly at the edge of the forest while the plantation slept.

The people who carried it were enslaved. They had brought it from African forests and savannas and held it carefully: which plants could heal and which could kill, and when to use each. No archive named it knowledge. But it kept people alive, and sometimes it got them out.

Michelle Piergoelam walks the Surinamese rainforest with a shaman, using as one reference point the diary of Swedish biologist Daniel Rolander, who crossed this territory in 1755 and catalogued what grew there with the precision of his century.

This book is a chapter in her ongoing project The Untangled Tales, which follows the covert languages of Surinamese enslaved communities.

This book forms a poetic investigation into the human need for knowledge, a longing that forms the roots of all scientific and artistic endeavour.

The Encyclopedia of the Uncertain invites the reader to wander through a collection of definitions that were assembled to illustrate how arbitrary knowledge is – how
much it depends on our upbringing, our socialisation, our experiences, our trust patterns and moods, the way we communicate, and on our willingness to learn.

The definitions that are listed were picked from a broad range of sources – some scientific, some more unorthodox – to draw a diverse and rich illustration of
(un)certainty. Scattered through out an only seemingly arbitrary train of thought are fragments of
diaries that I have kept over the years, notes that trace an artistic coming of age.

Between Alter and Zendik, between melancholy and
lightness, humour and wonder, I leave it to the readers to
pick the definitions that they find the most appealing and
invite them to find what, maybe unexpectedly, resonates with them.

All quotes assembled here represent a subjective selection and should not be read as a manifest of absolute insight, but as an intimate search for one’s place on this earth.

Truth is never static.

It is we who think our world.

PRE ORDER
Dead Letter Room – A Transhistorical Correspondence With Hara Tamiki (Allie Tsubota)

Dead Letter Room is a transhistorical correspondence with the late Japanese poet Hara Tamiki (1905–1951). Known for his slender output of prose during the pre-WWII and immediate postwar periods, Hara is most popularly admired “Summer Flowers”, a short story about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, which he survived. Hara becomes both a historical figure and a collaborator, as the work explores how violence, memory, and loss are shaped through historical archives. Presented as a collection of thirteen imagined letters written between @aatsubo (US) and Hara, the correspondence elaborates on the legacy of atomic disaster, while weaving a pliable, potentially fictive narrative that crosses historical time.

Design: @carelfransen
Release spring 2026, pre-order now 📚

Today we printed Péi Brilé / Pays brûlé / Burnt Land by @maxime.brygo at @albedecoker with @marcgijzen. Really happy with how it's turning out! Heavy printing with lots of ink: full colour, duotone and monotone, all on different papers. And in three languages: French, Créole Réunionnais and English. A complex and poetic book on the people living off grid in the inlands of Reunion in the Indian Ocean. Looking forward to the finished book!

CROWDFUNDING
‘Island Findings. Marine, botanical and other observations from Iceland and Tholen’

As a little girl, @elleke_vangorsel lived on her parents farm in a rural area on the island of Tholen. She often lay in the grass and gazed endlessly with wonder, completely captivated and in supreme concentration with the nature around her. Wildflowers, birds, insects, and other small creatures.

She retained that same childlike wonder and admiration for nature throughout her life as an artist. Curious to see what the current state of affairs would be like on her native island she went back with her camera. And later she did a similar extensive study at two Artist Residencies on Iceland.

Her book includes photographs from both islands, Tholen and Iceland. Because she found it important to mention the name of the photographed objects in Latin and Icelandic or Dutch, she conducted an extensive research at the University Library of Reykjavik and Eindhoven University of Technology.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
