“The project that what’s app built!” ~ our very busy clients at the Parsons Green project wanted a team that shared their design vision, had the flair to create something really special, the stamina to get the attention to detail just right and the experience to override the technical issues that inevitably crop up on such a huge extension and renovation project. If you knew the hours that went into the coffee cupboard alone… 🥺 but you always get out what you put in! All the way through this project @extend_bespoke @london.structures and @malinandlynn have been incredible partners and we loved the interior designer @emmamilneinteriors so much we convinced her to join the design team at HM afterwards (more on that soon). A highlight of 2024 was the renovation and basement addition for a glorious family home in Parsons Green - we loved working wity @malinandlynn @extend_bespoke @london.structures team work makes the dream work. As well as the kitchen and pantry (more on that later) the clients also chose Humphrey Munson for their whole house flooring order with the majority of it being engineered oak in a mix of plank and herringbone format with Wilton porcelain in the utilitarian areas. This video shows the middle landing up to the top floor so you can really see the tone of the timber. The Verbier engineered oak by HM Flooring Library has the perfect neutral base with a subtle taupe undertone. We love the exposed natural grain and beautiful knots that give just the right amount of character. A classic wooden flooring with a contemporary twist. It’s been a while since we’ve posted (too busy building! 👷‍♂️👷🏻‍♀️)…We have lots of work now completed in 2022 and in the process of being photographed 📸 Posts coming soon(ish) 😬

We are back with this internal view of a front living room in one of our #Fulham projects…perfect for the early autumnal nights in with the fireplace from @chesneysfireside 🔥🍂

This room (and the whole house) was completely gutted back to brick 🧱. The vast majority of our projects are completely brought back to brick as it’s the most efficient way to re-structure a house. We ensure over 99% of the waste is fully recycled and all new houses are insulated to current new home standards. ♻️🏡

In most Victorian properties we recreate all the original features (we take moulds at the start of the cornice and timber mouldings). With the benefit of full insulation (thermal and soundproofing) and new plumbing electrics…ideal to keep rising fuel bills in check 📈⬇️

An internal view of a project we completed in #Fulham. The sweeping handrails and metal spindles make a big impact in this entrance hallway 🤩

The floor is a 120yr old reclaimed Dutch oak floor repurposed into a 22mm thick engineered floor 🇳🇱🌷🌳

The property has been remodelled and the entrance to the kitchen is much wider than “standard” at 1.2m giving a spacious feel in this mid-terraced property 📏⬅️➡️

In this property an air/heat recovery system was installed rather than a traditional gas boiler 🔥… and all the ducts are hidden in the walls and ceilings. 🕵️‍♀️👀

A very eco-friendly way of heating the house (Greta would be pleased) 😜💚

The walls are painted in a neutral ‘slaked lime’ from @littlegreenepaintcompany with colour added with accessories and the amazing natural colour of the floor 🙌

A #Fulham side return we completed before lock-down. New (ish) rules in Hammersmith and Fulham mean that if the adjoining neighbour already has an existing extension you can install a flat roof extension up to 3m….creating a full height room ⬆️🏠

The roof light by @1st_folding_sliding_doors allows lots of additional natural light but also gives an extra 50cm of head height over the kitchen area. ☀️

Behind the kitchen wall we have a small but perfectly formed downstairs loo 🚽 The pink wallpaper by @cole_and_son_wallpapers is a great addition to small spaces 💕

The kitchen by @lukemchardyandco is a bespoke kitchen painted in @farrowandball ‘Inchyra Blue’ with a moon rock marble by @granexmarble 💪🙌

Not our “normal” type of project this week! 🤯💃But after a few very long days the team at @extend_bespoke pulled some long nights to help get this show live! 🚥

The designs by @richardquinn 🖤 were amazing as always 🙌 (I’m not bias 😉) and a real feat to pull off a show of this magnitude especially with all the current restrictions due to Covid and staff shortages. All built in less than 24hrs ⏰

Two separate spaces for the show sponsor @Royalsalute with 6m high custom drapes in custom floral print by @richardquinn 🌹🌹🌹

A view of a project we completed a few years ago in #BrookGreen which is now available to buy @themodernhouse 🏠💷

The design was difficult to achieve, especially as it seemed this house has every angle apart from 90 degrees! 🤯📐

We managed to have a fully open plan layout with the addition of a mist system…a vital part of any modern home planning 🔥🧯💧

The kitchen by @solakitchens is the heart of this home leading onto a large pivot door by @maxlightltd ❤️☀️

The rear dining area has a polished concrete floor and exposed brick 🧱 but the decor adds the cosy feel ☺️

The frameless roof light by @1st_folding_sliding_doors gives an uninterrupted view of the sun ☀️ or rain 🌧 🤨

Thankfully it is self cleaning glass (yes really!) 🧼

Installing a roof light not only adds more light...it can significantly increase the ceiling height in key areas (in this case by 60cm!) ⬆️⬆️

The kitchen by @lukemchardyandco has been meticulously designed to line up with the roof light...with @emrarchitecture watching very closely 📏📐🧐

A statement entrance to our recently competed #Stockwell project. 🖤

This mid-terrace property was built in c.1840 and the brief was to completely modernise the house without losing character...we have refurbished the original staircase so it can last the next 180 years! 🤞🗓

Refurbish the original stairs or renew them? What would you choose? 🤔

We personally love the original handmade turned handrail...painted in ‘Off Black’ by @farrowandball 🎨
