I don’t usually like to outwardly take credit for this but today marks 4 years of running @__playspace__. Every “anniversary” date has actually always ended up being one of inner turmoil for me lol. If you want an origin story, in 2022 I created this free weekly clown jam at The Elysian Theater along with a few friends and a lot of support from the community. There’s actually an old podcast episode with @thechaddamiani from 2023 where I go into it (I don’t remember what I said in it, it was a long time ago haha). Since then, the community has turned over multiple times, friends have left the city/scene, new friends & collaborators showed up, I’ve had collaborators move on… and every so often I really wanna throw in the towel and not do this anymore. But at the same time, overwhelmingly so, I love being in awe of and humbled by the people around me who show up and share their fierce and beautiful joy, and I’m a huge believer in the radical creation and salvation that happens in clubs, jams, and spaces where different people with a diversity of voices get together and play. I came up with the name Playspace, because that’s what I felt we needed. We still need it, I need it all the time. To be overtly dramatic: I don’t know how many more days I have left in me to keep running this thing for free for the sake of it haha but I’m here for now.
Anyway there’s also this random virgin airlines magazine article from 2024 we got featured in. And Playspace was casually mentioned in some other big article cept I don’t even remember which one it was haha. There’s also another podcast I just got interviewed in that’s coming out soon! That’s cool. And @miekemarple very very kindly wrote a little substack article about her experience taking clown class with me! 😚🙏 Just expressing myself here, don’t mind me ;)

When I looked back at my notes from almost 3 years ago I realized how much they gave us and how much longer it took for me to let certain lessons sink in. It’s a theater school where anyone from around the world (who loves saying f🫶ck you!) & who is able and wants to can choose to go to. I feel so deeply privileged to have gotten the chance to work directly with the man and be in one of the last few classes to do so. Thank you Michiko & Philippe for showing me I will be a clown for life. It lives in my body forever.
Rest in peace & freedom Philippe Gaulier.

Omg clown class sold out last week 🫠 but there is a waitlist! & it starts this weekend!! Thank you so much dear friends for supporting 🥹 Just like my steady horse rider partner pictured here tolerating it all, then eventually submitting to the flow and becoming horse together

I (rachel) am humbled and shy to announce that I’m teaching a clown fundamentals workshop at @elysiantheater in the new year!! 🤗 Whether you’re clown-curious or clown-seasoned, I welcome you to this class to percolate 😶🌫️
Sundays from 6-10pm
At @elysiantheater Skunk Room
January 25 to February 15, 2026
Enroll at elysiantheater.com/classes (or link in my bio)
And here’s a little more on what you can expect :)
👉 A funny, physical, thoughtful time to come into contact with the creative, playful, and mischievous self who loves to have fun with others and dares to feel things. We’ll go on a journey of communal discovery by playing the game of theater!
This class will be your sandbox to try things out, let them go, see what fits, and explore how you relate to yourself and others through the principles of clowning. Using improvisational exercises, games, movement and some devising we’ll develop the performer-creator (that’s you!) and have dialogue around what we’re doing and its context.
It is my great pleasure to share this foolishly divine art form, and I’m basically shaking with excitement to see you there 🫶 xoxo - rachel

It is me @faceboop’s birthday this Wednesday OK?? 🤠 Let’s have some !!⭐️FUN⭐️!! If you’ll please allow me on my special day, this one will be more experimental than usual 🥴 because I love experimental and I even have a BFA in experimental. @frankieh456 will be co-hosting & offering some good stuff too in this mixed realm of theatre & expanded performance practices.
Of course if you have a prepared 2min bit and are dying to try it out we’ll see it! We’ll make time for it all, and especially for playing together & seeing what happens 🫰
Sound 🆙 @live_laugh_lube_ is pleased to present its next collaboration with performer & artist Rachel Ho aka @faceboop

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
