One of the three original Hair Curlers is being changed to reflect a Beard Curler that was seen from Rolly Crump's concept art. This weirdo has never been adapted before from Rolly Crump's concept art and is gonna be All New on an Original animatronic!
When we restore Knott's Bear-y Tales characters. We like to not only Restore the original intent of how they looked in 1975. But we also look to adding back things that disappeared or didn't make it back when the Original ride was made.
All to make sure it suits the iconic Disney Legend, Rolly Crump's style from the original ride.

The Return of Katy The Peacock! Katy was one of the many animatronics found in Knott's Bear-y Tales ride (Designed by Disney Imagineer, Rolly Crump) and was seen in the Country Fair scene as part of the Barnyard Beauty Contest.
The original figure used to stare at riders and open its feathers like a Japanese Fan as riders passed by her in the ride. The prop is one of many surviving figures from the ride and was rescued in 1987 by the Tetley Collection.
Today, she lives again!
Restoration work was done by Garner Holt Productions!

The Balancing Frogs of the Knott's Bear-y Tales ride have returned and been restored to their original glory! Rescued in 1987 by the Tetley collection underneath the Wacky Soap Box Racers ride.
These balancing amphibians were located in the Country Fair scene of the ride in a corner named the Frog Fair. Which was where many of the Frogs from Frog Forest had their own smaller minature sized Fair in that scene.
The iconic Frogs of Rolly Crump's dark ride for Knott's Berry Farm were spread all throughout the ride. You couldn't go anywhere in Knott's Beary Tales without seeing these
little guys and their little antics...

2025 has been a wild ride for all of us on the Kooky Trails. So wild that the upcoming Kooky Trails Prologue short needs a little more time for polishing before we can fully unveil it to the world in 2026. Kooky Trails Prologue will be a look into the animation done for the preshow of our Dark Ride attraction which has sadly been put on ice for forseeable future. So you will all get to see what we were making for that project.
But to soften the blow, we are working on new and exciting adventures featuring Alan, Luma, Beni, and all the cast of Kookylanders who reside in this Theme Park World of Kooky Trails! Including an Exciting Adventure that will take guests into the Kooky Trails that is currently in early stages of development! Thanks again for all your love and support, whether it's been online or at conventions, we are very grateful for you all and we look forward to seeing you guys in 2026!
