I've been meaning to make this post for the longest time, award or no, because I consider myself the Internet's #1 fan of the music on DC High Volume: Batman. (Very open to being proven wrong!)

The thoughtfulness with which @moosetunes approached Music Supervision, and the absolute operatic bombast that @samuel.j.ewing and @frenchieperrine have brought to this WEEKLY(!) show is beyond unbelievable.

I've clipped out six of my favorite musical moments — this reel could easily have been thrice as long, but I am known to exercise rare moments of self-control.

(Included at the end of this reel is a small musical contribution Jamie and I had the privilege of making in the short story "Metamorphosis", where we had the delight of bringing @thisisgww's background lyrics to musical life.)

An overwhelming THANK YOU to co-showrunner extraordinaire @finalrune, our DC partners in crime @mikepallotta and @eddiecloud, our AMBIE NOMINATED sound design team — @composerdad, @soundshores, @danielbrunelle.sound, and @jeffschmidt — many of whom were nominated for other shows that same night. (It felt like we were at the cool kids' table!)

Happy (belated) New Year from South Africa! 🇿🇦 On our way through Pietermaritzburg and stopped by this important landmark, where Gandhi’s call to social justice awakened. May his inspiration carry on for the great challenges still ahead of us

Immensely proud that our faithful, cinematic audio adaptation of Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s graphic novel masterpiece The Killing Joke is finally out in the world!

These stories take a village to get right, and everyone was locked in on this one. It is by far the most brutal, lyrical and unsettling story we’ve told so far, and we hope we’ve done this justice.

The voice talent on this is out of this world good, but don't take my word for it -- that's what the reel is for. So, so grateful to @officialtroybaker and @shelbyhyoung for gracing the Batcave this season, and to our Batfamily (led by the fearless @jasonspisak) for going so far above and beyond here.

Just as grateful to the full team for getting this one across the finish line — I’ve done my best to tag everyone, but an extra special shout goes to co-showrunner and director @finalrune, our DC partners in crime @mikepallotta and @eddiecloud, genuine sound wizard @composerdad and showstopper music team @samuel.j.ewing, @frenchieperrine and broadway-level songwriters @moosetunes @meganbagala (whose instrumental arrangement of a certain song you hear in the background of this reel!), and everyone at @andasproductions who made this behemoth of an adaptation possible.
