My Greek Islands Digital Guide ↓
It’s me — I wanted to take a moment to re-introduce myself, as things are about to change a bit around here! 🙌🏼 I’d like to invite you in more as I navigate this new phase.
Here are some things you might not know about me:
• My father is Dutch, so I grew up visiting the Netherlands and fell in love with the idea of living there (hence why I chose to move to Amsterdam). 🚲 🌷 As a child I remember seeing a Dutch couple biking while holding hands and thinking: that’s what true happiness must be!
• I love pickles, olives 🫒 , cheese, 🧀 and anything savory. I used to hate sweets but that changed after my first baby — though I still prefer savory sweets (green tea ice cream, dark chocolate with sea salt).
• Before becoming a travel photographer I worked as a marketing manager in LA, but my major was originally Psychology. I thought I would be a child psychologist.
• The one thing I always bring when I travel (besides my 📷) is my kindle. I can’t fall asleep at night without reading.
• I was a gymnast for over 10 years. I’m convinced it’s why I’m short (I’m the only one on the Dutch side of my family under 6 feet tall!)
• My favorite places in the world to return to are: Amsterdam, the Greek Islands, France and Norway.
• I’m an only child and would say I’m an extroverted introvert. My husband Jacob has made me more extroverted, but I still thrive solo or with a close friend.
• Speaking of: I asked my husband to share 3 things about me (without any context 🙃) and here’s what he said: you’re secretly very goofy and love dumb jokes, you have terrible taste in TV shows (love you!), and you’re a master pasta improviser. 🍝
