The process: the joy, the grief & the learning…

Days like these remind me of staying true to my mission. The mission that I was given before birth. I’m reminded to stay focused. I also think about Young Dolph when he said “stay focused, but I really wanna crash. Think about where you at. Then think about your past.” Since graduating college, I feel like I’ve been diving deeper into the duality within grief, and learning about my history. I feel like my hometown, Memphis, is still growing through this grief for Martin Luther King Jr.

This sweatshirt means a lot. When I’m away from home, it physically reminds me of Memphis. As an African a scholar, it reminds me of the importance of my studies and how they are intertwine with storytelling and creating tribe.

Today, I’m reminded of the Vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as well as my grandmother: today is her birthday too. I’m thankful to still have my grandmother on this side of things.

Modeling and Photography are businesses that I got into as an artist first. I combine my scholarship with my creativity like @houseofaama & @cxffeeblack ✨ and so many other beautiful storytellers.

I also feel very powerful from learning about our history. At this point in my life, I’m very grounded and Imboden by two things: knowing where I’m from and knowing who I’m from. I’m from Memphis, Tennessee, and I’m from leaders. My leadership is through action, who I’m listening, how I wear my clothes, where I’m spending my time & with whom. LISTEN TO @indiaarie today 💙

During this MLK day, I encourage y’all to speak with the elders in your life, to sit with yourself and listen: to wise council, to nature, to (Music), to the spirit, all that jazz.

when @david.quarlesiv got me out the house. this also reminds me when I had a street style segment with @memphismagazine. What does everyone think of me exploring my roots of street-style/fashion portraiture?

Y’all, video is hard. Editing and framing video for a vertical crop is hard. Creating footage from a camera setup 1. that wasn’t yours (shout outs to @united for not ever getting any of my scuba/camera gear to my final destination even after nearly 5 hours of phone customer service conversations/confirmations prior to my departing flights btw)2. never have ever used before 3. ... underwater with roughly 12 *logged* dives under your belt IS HARD. However, you gotta start somewhere, and this is that.

With all that being said, I am thoroughly grateful for this experience. I couldn’t have picked a more difficult way to dive into this process (🤭). This particular edit does not have all the TikTok / Insta Reels bells and whistles, but if I don’t post this now then I wasn’t ever going to post it. Luckily, I got enough footage to make a little series out of this experience. I’m slowly getting the hang of the process so just bear with me and the growing pains. Everything should clean up once I figure things out.

So tell me your thoughts, rebuild up my ego, and make sure the VOLUME is ON 🔊because your guy spent nearly an hour searching and deciding the track for this one (😂) #enjoy

And thank you so much to the dive staff and crew of Palau @aggressorliveaboards very kind and knowledgeable people. And thank you to @wanderingcheetah for constantly pushing me along the way [both metaphorically and literally] 🤿

Video and reels are gonna be a steep learning curve🫠. Forever thankful to my friends like @iori.araya who help me grow as an artist. Finding old photo shoot footage in my phone and actually making use of it

what a whirlwind experiencing @brooksmuseum black portraits opening night! the entire community showed up and showed out for this wonderful event [i’m thinking the number was about 800+??] to view 100+ portraits of various media [artist @calidagarciarawles featured in the first slide]. super proud of the homie @arieljcobbert recent immersive art installation work on site where she had company ballet dancers @nyaham__ @miss_mcgriff_ interact with the spaces and perform for the attendees. can’t wait to make time to do another round of the show when I’m not covering it. anyone who had attended, did you have any favorites moments or art pieces?

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
