Armenia 🇦🇲
Brazil 🇧🇷
Chile 🇨🇱
France 🇫🇷

📩 In this month’s newsletter, Camille Grenier, FID’s Executive Director, reflects on what COP30 changed and what still remains unresolved for information integrity.
For the first time, climate disinformation made its way onto the COP agenda, with a Declaration endorsed by a growing group of countries. It marked a step forward, while raising new questions: how do political commitments translate into national action, and how can these efforts endure beyond the COP cycle?

3️⃣ years of the DSA | How has it redefined online responsibility in the EU?
On October 19, 2022, the European Union adopted the Digital Services Act, marking the beginning of a new era in regulating digital services and defining the responsibilities of online actors.
Three years later, where do we stand, and what progress has been made in this regulation?
To mark the occasion, we asked Suzanne Vergnolle, Associate Professor in Technology Law at @lecnam , to explain in 2 minutes why it remains essential to continue defending it across Europe 👆
🌱☁️ How to fight climate disinformation while protecting freedom of speech?
A few days ahead of COP30, we publish the recommendations of our workstream on information integrity on climate change and other environmental issues.
This workstream, co-led by Brazil and Armenia, brings together democratic governments and civil society experts and from the research world.
Together, they have been working for months to define structural solutions that ensure this balance between regulation and freedom of expression.
