Such an amazing surprise and I can’t thank @lenak21 @jachristian @sfchronicle enough for the opportunity to share such a personal story in the hope it will help others overcome hardships in life & prosper despite major life losses & changes. I deeply appreciate everyone who took the time to read & share my story, it’s such a pleasure seeing all of the new faces & hearing about your experience trying my food. What I did wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. So many people struggle in silence & it doesn’t have to be that way. The love I’ve received has been so heart warming & inspiration to keep going! Extremely thankful I get to live out a dream of mine daily, it’s not always easy, it’s not always fun but it is always worth it and I hope the love I have for what I do always shows in the food, service and overall experience. I want to be clear. This repost of my story is not for me (that has been done & I appreciate the overwhelming outpour I received from people struggling, have struggled or know someone who has, the love I received is still being processed and appreciated greatly) this post is for those who did not see my story but may need the message. It will not be up forever but I will forever be open to lending an ear to anyone who needs.

If you ever struggle with thoughts of su*cide, or just simply find yourself in a very dark place never hesitate to reach out. Idc if I don’t know you, I’m here for you cuz I know what it’s like to be alone surrounded by people. I know what it’s like to suffer from a true identity crisis. I know what it’s like to put your work or business before yourself in hopes it will make you feel better about yourself. I know what it’s like to mentally sufier every fucking day and I’ll never judge anyone bold enough to reach out.No matter how busy I get, I’ll literally stop service if anyone ever needs to talk, I’ll close if serious enough and I mean it. Love you all who love me 🙏🏿

I mean this with every single fiber of my being. Thank you all!

This month makes 6 years since I started this restaurant out of my apartment during Covid. I honestly can’t even wrap my head around how far I’ve come. I feel like if I step too far outside of it all I’ll lose my groove and ability to just push. It’s a fucking relentless grind. Day in, day out. Some days are easier than others, life happens to me just like everyone, I get tired, I get overwhelmed, family things come up, real life doesn’t stop because I’m chasing a dream, it requires a juggling act that not many people are willing to do successfully do for years in an extremely low margin business such as restaurants, which is why restaurants close down at the rate they do. I really appreciate all of you that support me, I can’t say it enough. I see some of you 2-3 times a week, every week. 71% of my customers are regulars while still increasing new customer visits weekly, its amazing the following I’ve built off hustle, passion and undeniable flavors. You guys show up every day for me and I want to say thank you! #FowlFare

What a year it’s been so far! Two covers in 4 months 🤯
Such a crazy feeling. I don’t cook for accolades or recognition,I truly do it because I love it! Being nominated for @sfbusinesstimes 40 under40 was a complete surprise,didn’t think for one second I’d be in the cover! There are some talented, amazing people on that list doing real impactful work and it’s hard for me to believe I deserve to be mentioned along some of them, but the truth is if I didn’t deserve it I wouldn’t have obtained it. I always just keep going without stopping to realize just how far I’ve come since opening almost 6 years ago… it’s been quite the fucking journey & thankfully im still going strong with no sign of letting up at all. Most don’t make it past 5 years so the accomplishment of just being open is not lost on me at all. Thank you to all of you who support me in every way, I really appreciate it!
