CALLING FOR SHORT FOCUS 2026 SUBMISSIONS!!

The eagle-eyed filmmakers amongst you will have noticed that submissions for SFFF2026 opened in mid-December and took advantage of our Super Early Bird entry fee. You can now put your feet up and relax knowing that your film is under review 😎

For those who have not yet entered, rest assured you still have plenty of time and can take advantage of our next lowest ‘Early Bird’ price tier until 28 February! So, what are you waiting for…?

Thank you all for participating in this year’s festival and for all your votes. The award winners of Short Focus Film Festival 2025 have been decided!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the filmmakers whose films screened in our festival! We are extremely honoured to receive such great quality and thoughtful material. And to everyone that bought a ticket this year, together you raised £832.87 (including Gift Aid) for the Disasters Emergency Committee (@disastersemergencycommittee) whose charities are providing lifesaving aid in Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank and Syria. Thank you!

DEADLINE ALERT!!!

Filmmakers, if there is one thing you do today, let it be submitting your short film to Short Focus Film Festival. Plenty of awards are up for grabs at this year’s festival and the only way to win one (or more) is to send us your film. Our REGULAR DEADLINE ends on 25 April 2026 after which prices will go up. Delighted to share that @intheclouds.film picked up Best Director, and the Audience Award at this year’s Short Focus Film Festival organised by the amazing team at @framelightorg.

A huge thank you to @framelightorg for selecting our film and curating such a thoughtful and powerful festival, and to the Jury and audience who honoured us with your vote!

We watched a lineup of truly brilliant and unique films, and this year @framelightorg donated all the festival proceeds to the @disastersemergencycommittee raising over £830 🙌
