Episode four of Phoenix Portraits: The Faces Behind Film is a true gem.

Can you imagine wearing jewellery made from your favourite film?

A piece of art that brings together cinema and craftsmanship. Natalie Daniels is the creator of From The Silver Screen, alongside her colleague Claire.

Together, they run a one-of-a-kind jewellery company that repurposes the silver harvested during film processing from @cinelabuk and digital to create beautiful bespoke pieces and collections.

This time, my portraits and interview feature Natalie. We had a wonderful time in the Art Deco auditorium of the Phoenix Cinema, and we also visited the projection room, where Natalie explained more about the silver found in each film.

She also showed us some of the stunning jewellery she and Claire have created.

Natalie and Claire also run another branch under their umbrella, For The Silver Screen, where they organise a festival for creatives who shoot on film — but that’s a story for another video.

“After shooting a short film together on 16mm, we had an even deeper appreciation for it. For Christmas Luke gifted Sophie the Sound Pendant from From the Silver Screen and we loved the concept and curation of the collections.

We knew we wanted our wedding to reflect what we love and be personal to us so when we saw another commission for wedding bands on From the Silver Screen we knew it had to be!
