'Everybody in LA is so wedded to minimalism, thinking that is LA style, but in fact, it’s a very recent thing.'

For his home, gallerist Gordon VeneKlasen drew inspiration the Hollywood Regency glamour of the 1930s and 1940s and 'the era when chintz was popular.'

For decades, VeneKlasen was the co-owner of Michael Werner Gallery, and his home is filled with work by contemporary artists. Now, it’s his name on the door. VeneKlasen Gallery officially opened in March, taking over Michael Werner Gallery’s spaces in London and New York.

With Italian salaries having stagnated for decades, Milan's house-price-to-income ratio (a popular metric of housing affordability) is now worse than London's.

This year’s Met Gala generated an internet frenzy due to the honorary co-chairs of this year’s ball: Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, and his wife, Lauren Sánchez Bezos, who famously modelled her Dolce & Gabbana tightly corseted wedding dress for a digital cover of US Vogue last year.

A loud backlash against the Met Gala and its unapologetic celebration of wealth and celebrity has been brewing for years, finally reaching a fever pitch. However, the event is expected to generate more funds than ever, breaking the $40mn mark for the first time this year.

Built in the early 15th century, Villa San Michele was, for almost 200 years, home only to friars – never more than 10, and sometimes as few as two. The Franciscan convent went on to be adorned by Donatello and Michelangelo, before becoming a hotel in the 1950s. For the last 18 months the Florentine jewel has been closed for restoration by Belmond – until now.

This year’s Met Gala has generated more attention — and more controversy — than any other in recent memory. The ‘Fashion is Art’ dress code produced both winners and losers as the event’s honorary co-chair Jeff Bezos chose to come in via a side entrance.

Dafydd Jones (@dafyddjonesphotographer) is perhaps best known for his candid photographs of Oxbridge students. He started shooting them in the ‘80s and the images were a snapshot of the future ruling class. Now, a new book revisits 40 years of Cambridge University May Balls, with all their flouncy gowns, gatecrashers and 'crazy English public schoolboys'. What makes them so compelling? He explains all to @ines_cross at the link in bio.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
