It took me 4 years to build the confidence to post this.

I used to be terrified of posting anything that felt too revealing like showing too much of myself meant giving too much away. But something beautiful happened with time. As my body changed, grew, softened, expanded… so did my confidence.

Now, I look at myself and feel a kind of pride I never knew before not because I fit into anyone’s idea of perfection, but because I finally fit into mine.

This post is for the old version of me the girl who hid, who dimmed her light, who waited for some “perfect” version of herself to arrive before she could show up fully. I want to tell her: you were already worthy. You were already magic.

So I’m letting loose. I’m showing up. Not in spite of how I’ve changed, but because of it.

Here’s to loving ourselves at every size, every phase, every version and to giving ourselves permission to be seen.

I never thought I could love a baby this much, and the world ain’t ready for the trouble my new born bestie and I are gonna cause.
