I’m excited to share a project I recently wrapped for the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce — thank you so much to their team and to the work they’re leading for the citywide Chicago Loves Local campaign.

If you know me, you know this work is in my bones. I’ve been championing small businesses from day one through my documentary series Sweat Local, and it feels incredible to see that passion evolve into real partnerships with the city and city-adjacent organizations. This is the kind of work that brings genuine value to the people on the ground — the entrepreneurs, makers, and neighbors who shape our culture and strengthen our resilience.

So here’s a highlight from one of my favorite projects this month. And here’s your reminder: every day you get to choose to shop local, support locally-owned businesses, and know your neighbors. We need that now more than ever. Small Business Saturday might be over, but the commitment to invest our time, energy, and care into the places we live can happen year-round.

One of the biggest misconceptions in business? That people don’t care. The truth? They just don’t know.
