Using computer vision technology, GoodMaps provides step-by-step audio and visual directions to gates, restrooms, baggage claim, and more, all from a smartphone.

The GoodMaps app is available for download on Apple and Android devices.

Big news from Hoboken! 🎉

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of a GoodMaps pilot with @njtransit at Hoboken Terminal. Supported by @ilabsro’ Transit Tech Lab, this initiative brings GoodMaps’ accessible navigation platform to one of New Jersey’s busiest transportation hubs, empowering all riders – including those who are blind or have low vision – to travel with confidence.

A huge thank-you to the NJ TRANSIT team for being incredible partners. We’ve loved collaborating with them to bring our technology to their riders and to advance their mission of making public transit more inclusive for everyone.

Video transcript: “Well the GoodMaps app has been really a game changer for us here at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, in terms of enhancing the customer experience here at SDF. Standard wayfinding and signage is so important in airports and having good wayfinding is important to get travelers through the airport journey. But GoodMaps has really taken that to a whole other level. For sighted, blind, and low vision travelers, it allows a passenger to walk the airport independently and seamless and with confidence, and that’s so important for them. Take an airport that does not offer GoodMaps and a blind or low vision traveler’s experience could look like this: It can be someone that requests assistance for someone to walk with them through the terminal. Or it could be that they request assistance for a wheelchair and they are pushed through the terminal. And that’s really not what a blind or low vision traveler wants. They want to be independent and be able to travel through the airport independently and with confidence. And that’s what GoodMaps has done.”
