A year ago I tagged along with @khadimdia170 for two weeks, through the quietest and heaviest hours leading up to an MMA fight. I was documenting the weight cut — one of the most delicate, and least talked-about, phases in combat sports.

It’s the first time I’ve seen an idea become exactly what I hoped it would be and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Sweet Sweat will have its first screening in Padova at the River Film Festival on June 13th. I can’t wait for you to see it.

A light drifts across the sky.
In its only night on Earth, a luminous body leaves fleeting trails. In its silent flight, it encounters a machine, loud and solemn, that devours the night.
A witness on the ground captures this suspended dance: holding it for a moment, like a fragile dream upon waking, breathing in its light.

NOTTURNO is the new video work by Oliviero Fiorenzi and directed by filmmaker @hlessio, born from the artist’s first exploration of night flight.
The project comes to life in collaboration with Goofy Studio, Giga, and NT Majocchi.

We are happy to invite you to NOTTURNO, a new video installation by @oliviero.fiorenzi , presented at Giga on September 25 at 7 PM.
At the heart of the work lies a newly conceived kite, made with reflective fabric by @ntmajocchi, which appears and disappears, revealed only by fleeting flashes of light. This kite is the origin of the video piece directed by filmmaker @hlessio, it appears and disappears, revealed only by the glow of a light brushing against it.

NOTTURNO was made possible thanks to the support of @ntmajocchi — who provided REFLEX fabrics and supported the exhibition — and @theaddress_gallery.
