Proud and honored to shared the news my COQUÍ received the #BurningMan 2024 Honoraria Art Grant. ✨🇵🇷

This will be my SIXTH time bringing art to #BRC and my 4th Honoraria!!!!

Thank you @burningman for this great honor. 🫡✨❤️‍🔥

#COQUÍ is the symbol of my homeland #PuertoRico. A charming arboreal frog who sings amid the sounds of the rainforest where he lives. This project will invite the community to explore Coquí’s many attributes and fully immerse in his world as he sings “Ko-Kee”. 🎶

COQUÍ is dedicated to my Puerto Rico and to every art student in the island. 🇵🇷 Just like MÚCARO & ATABEY, it was named by our Taíno indigenous people of the Caribbean. Given the environmental challenges my #Borinquén has experienced recently, I chose to honor their spirit and dedicate the art piece to my people! ❤️‍🔥

This marks my 4th time receiving this owlmazing honor. A special THANKS to the #ParliamentArtCrew plus every volunteer and supporter since I started my BIG ART artistic journey in 2015. @Got_Framed 🖼️ mark me as the first Puerto Rican to bring art to the event. And subsequently the 1st Honoraria for our wise woody owl, @MUCARO_bm 🦉 plus 2nd & 3rd for @ATABEYsTreasure 🫧🐠
