Love =/= entanglement. I wrote this song about emotional enmeshment & learning to have boundaries with people you love ☁️
I think ironically it’s hardest to say no to someone you’re close to?? But it’s okay to put yourself first and protect your peace.

With everything happening in the world atm I think it takes on a new meaning where I’m like ok this feels like surrender to chaos while maintaining some semblance of autonomy within the noise. It’s okay to intake information and it’s also to take breaks and do what you need to do to keep moving forward. We need to retain hope of building a better world and so we must keep our heads above water.
