Ask anyone in the surfing world and they'll tell you... Greg Browning is a cultural legend, and beloved member of the surf community.

It was while he was out in the water with his son, that Greg realized something wasn't right.Greg was diagnosed with ALS in 2023.Devastating news, through which he maintains his trademark positivity.

On Saturday, April 27, @gregsworld will be inducted into the Hermosa Beach Surfer's Walk of Fame.A legend, immortalized.

As crazy as this year has been, there have been some incredible moments along the way. This one is just beyond anything I could’ve ever imagine. My friends had gelato, created a gummy and pre-roll that the proceeds will go towards helping my family and ALS. GEORGE, Cody and the entire gelato family I cannot thank you enough for your kindness friendshipand love you have shown. Life is so incredible and I am beyond humbled. I have been using gummy‘s for the last year to help with this spasticity twitching and joint pain that comes with this disease and it has been a lifesaver. Not to mention they taste like Hawaiian Sun and smell like sex wax.

I wake up everyday thinking this is all just a crazy dream. I guess it’s time to embrace the reality. Before I was diagnosed a good friend of mine @kristenriderbeatty5280 connected me with the entire team of the ALS Golden West chapter who offered support and guidance through this crazy road. This Sunday at UCLA they are putting on their annual walk to raise money and awareness for the disease. I am planning to be there to give back to them with the team. It’s been a crazy couple weeks since getting diagnosed with ALS but I am so thankful and appreciative of everyone that has written,called and stopped by to check in on me. I am so grateful to the community that has donated to the go fund me. I am so much better at helping others then being helped myself. It’s going to be a crazy road ahead but I am as ready as someone can be. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
