Produced between 2016 and 2025, Venezuelan Youth is photographer Silvana Trevale’s contribution to her homeland: a testament that distances itself from portrayals of crises to offer a sensitive and profound view of the complexities of Venezuelan identity as seen through the eyes of its youth.

Poppy Promises | Thomas Duffield: The current show @guestprojectspace will now be extended until Friday 19th. We will be hosting a special late opening on Thursday 18th to close the show and coincide with the Christmas Market here @hackneydownsstudios.

Join us next Thursday from 5 until 8pm to have a drink, view the exhibition and browse the latest books from Guest. You can also drop us a message to visit any week day between now and then.

The show will be in place until at least December 15, and with all prints beautifully made by @freshaire_ltd and hand framed by Thomas, it's worth a visit.

Thomas will be in the gallery tomorrow (Sat 29) and available to sign the last few copies left of the book. After that the show can be viewed throughout the week by appointment via email or DM.

The last few weeks releasing Close to Home feels like a dream! THANK YOU to everyone that helped bring this together especially @thomas.coombes @guesteditions @mccarthymoon1 @labyrinthphotographicprinting @wearefrmd @suzeolbrich @cubface @sarah.wilso.n 🤍

The book is now in general release following a three week show @guestprojectspace and the presentation in Paris during @polycopies. I'm so grateful for the response to this work.

The book is shipping now from the Guest Editions website, it can be collected directly from Guest Project Space, from the bookshops below, and is available for wholesale distribution via @public_knowledge_books.

The book was shot over ten years on the Isle of Sheppey between 2014 and 2024. It features 90 images reproduced from original hand prints made by Laura McCluskey.

During this process we tried various papers and adjusted colours to find the perfect balance, viewed under a calibrated light source which allows us to analyse the prints under different lighting conditions💡

The show is still on at @villagebooks.co in Leeds for a short while and then travels down to London to be exhibited at @guestprojectspace, opening 27th November 🖼️
