Flying up the Baja peninsula, we came up on this secretive compound fit for a James Bond villain in the middle of nowhere. After some research, I found out it belongs to a Danish cult-like organization called The Teachers Group harboring wanted Interpol fugitives connected to a network of charities and businesses, which operates the luxury, secretive HQ in Mexico and has recruited staff from Africa. Its leader, Mogens Amdi Petersen, has been a fugitive from Danish justice since fleeing fraud and embezzlement charges in 2006 and they still can’t get to him. There’s also a fun surf break nearby so he’s got a good eye for real estate.

30 years ago I was finishing up at SDSU working for a boat rental company and figured I should start my own rental business!With a small loan from my parents (that I paid off in early in including the 10% interest) @adventurewatersportssd was born.I can’t thank my mom and dad for the loan and my lovely wife for finding my first job in the rental business enough. This is a picture of me sending off my first rental this weekend 30 years ago.It’s been a hell of a ride and looking forward to another 30!Thanks for all the amazing employees now friends that we have had over the years.
