Hey! My name is Mariela and I’m a #trans #indiepop artist. You’re probably wondering how I got here. Well, I grew up in Alabama. We went to church every week, even on vacation. Then I got married when I was 24, like a good Christian kid who couldn’t wait to have you know what.
About 7 years later I realized I was a woman and got divorced, but I kept writing songs. Now I live in San Diego and write songs about transitioning, love and divorce and leaving the church. You’re actually listening to one of those songs right now.
