This week my track(s) of the week is Sweat/Dante by Untold, released in 2009 on @hotflushuk
This is a gem in my collection - Untold's grooves and sound design never disappoint and there are loads of little details throughout this record that make it very special, like the Rhodes stabs, the vocal samples on Dante, the variations in the bass, the lush padding and piano samples, the rich yet tempered subs and the subtle drum fills.
All of this adds up and rewards repeat listening on top of the hypnotic, deep groove which is obvious from the first listen.
Dubstep? 2-step? Something else? I doubt it matters when both sides of the record are this good.

Distance knocks up some fantastic half-time rhythms courtesy of the Brazilan berimbau (used as an instrument during capoeira bouts, and utilised by Sepultura on their ‘Roots’ album) and glass-pop percussion that works in unison with the low-end thundering of the bassline.
