Extended sets from minimal legends, live modular improvisation sessions for International Synthesiser Day, and a slurry of some of the best diggers to do it: Que Sakamoto, Nina Yamada, Annyrock, Adi, with support from Luca & Leo. Plus a few more surprises we’re keeping under wraps.

Food, installations, two spaces in motion, and a full journey from courtyard daylight into warehouse darkness.

This time last year we were in limbo, but with our sights set on a new space and a new vision. It wouldn’t be long until we were handed the keys to what was essentially a 6000sqft badly made sheet metal box, full of garbage and in the middle of nowhere.

We were ecstatic.

In the midst of fighting off the “you’ve lost the plot” rhetoric, both internally and from loved ones who genuinely thought we might have bitten off more than we could chew, we started to chip away at the to-do list.

We hired a crane, battled over property lines with our neighbours, cleaned up the yard and slowly prepared to welcome people into the first usable corner of the site. We built a dancefloor, drove a mezzanine down from Birmingham and assembled it ourselves. With each party, and each extra pound in the bank, came another upgrade.

We’re still very much in that process, with a lot left to do and not a lot to do it with. Though it’s safe to say things have started to fall into place to some extent. Profound to look back on our journey so far.

Infinite Monkeys arrive at Gaffe for a live improvised audio-visual session as part of our May 23rd day-to-night journey.

A collective of self-proclaimed Monkeys operating somewhere between open workshop, ambient experiment and communal jam session. Combining live modular synthesis, projections, noise, accidents and collective improvisation.

This will also be a BYOS session (Bring Your Own Synthesiser). Synths, pedals, laptops, drum machines, DIY instruments and curious humans all welcome. (If you would like to join the workshop, please get in touch before May 16th)

After a sellout first release Slam Duncs takes over Gaffe on the 3rd of July to celebrate the label launch.

Duncan Thomas will be joined by artists and friends alike, making this one a family affair. The wonderful Millie Watts joins the crew bringing no doubt ocean deep house.

Alongside her is none other than scene-defining dance music icon Grace Sands, followed by non top party starter, and all day vibe bringer, Alec Falconer.

Duncan will also be bringing his new live show for a test drive, vroom vroom. So get the Ubers on standby, and schedule a cruise up to groove city (Tottenham) on the 3rd.
