I won my first Emmy!!! Still processing, but just want to share immense gratitude for everyone along this path. While I did go to school for broadcast journalism, I took a detour of passions that eventually led me to the arts + outdoors. Thank you to everyone who shared their curiosity in the spaces I was moving through. I remember beginning to make tik toks to share my experience and thinking “oh yeah I got a degree in this” 😂, I truly never thought that would lead here. Even after serendipitous meetings lead me to working with the incredible team at @greatlakesnoworg, I still never thought it would I’d be here. (I got to explore my passions and act as a representation of my community on tv— what else could I want?!). All this to say, following your intuition and what ignites you over the path of clarity will always bring sweetness when you know why you’re doing it, even if it takes some time. I am incredibly grateful for this moment.

HUGE shoutout to the team that made it possible especially the folks on the ground with me. @annaaaaaaaaahhh @aaronpeterson.studio @dadrynschulte every shoot has been so much fun with genuine connection, this is so much sweeter winning with you all. I get to be in the screen, but it’s all possible through your hard work and talent— so grateful for yall!

To the friends and family who have probably more than once thought “what the hell is Ian doing”, thank you for the continued unwavering support. I love all of you so deeply and it’s a driving force of what keeps me going. It’s an honor to make you proud. Special shoutout to my mom @drrosemoten who forced me to make this night a big deal when I didn’t want to lol— you were right, this is special (swipe to see her crying on the Jumbotron 💀).

To everyone who has ever shared a kind word, like a tik tok, watched the show, come to an @amplifyoutside event or even thought a positive thought for me. THANK YOU. The support I’ve gotten these past few days is hard to even process and reinforces what we already know: community is everything. I’ll see y’all outside!

Outdoor reporter @ian.outside spent a spring daywith @blacktothelandcoalition @savesibleyprairieco and @mivernalpools at Sibley Prairie Nature Preserve, the largest in tact Lake Plain Prairie ecosystem in the world.

Sibley Prairie’s 440 acres is currently at risk of being sold for development, @savesibleyprairieco & @Blacktothelandcoalition are urgently working to raise $6,000,000 by the end of 2026 to purchase the land for conservation and prevent a sale that would make Lake Plain Prairie ecosystems all but extinct.

To learn more about the “Save Sibley Prairie” effort and how the work of @mivernalpools lends itself to the mission go to PlanetDetroit.org

Have you ever heard of sugaring? (Poll Below!)

In early winter Detroit’s Rouge Park reaches a boiling point. For 6 years The Sugarbush at Rouge Park has hosted the Anishinaabe tradition of “Sugaring”. Outdoor reporter @ian.outside spent the evening with @BlackToTheLandCoalition learning more about the indigenous practice and the organizations work to sustain it in Detroit.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
