A year ago, I directed a pilot. As someone who watches a lot more TV than I do movies, I am so grateful that I got to learn what it’s like to work in the TV space alongside some incredibly talented folks. Today, we screen at @nfftyfilm @topvoicesusc

Not only was our pilot selected to screen, it was also nominated for Best Episodic. I’m excited to share these stills and clips with you all to give you a taste of the work we did.

I am immensely grateful for our incredible crew and cast. Thank you to the writers and executive producers for trusting me to execute their words and bring them to life. To our crew—you rocked it. To our cast—character is king, and you were all royals. To my fellow directors—thanks for being my rock.

59 Carmine Street is the address of the apartment I lived in when I went to film school in NYC. Those 4 walls watched as I let myself get torn apart, and broken down day after day. The apartment that watched me get taken to jail, because that’s how the law works when it comes to domestic violence in NYC. 59 Carmine Street is the address of the apartment I lived in when I went to film school in NYC. Those 4 walls watched as I let myself get torn apart, and broken down day after day. The apartment that watched me get taken to jail, because that’s how the law works when it comes to domestic violence in NYC. This story is near and dear to my heart, and this film is the version of that story where Chloe finds her courage sooner than I did, and chooses to live the life she was made for. ‘59 Carmine Street’ is the evolution of the first draft I wrote back in 2022, ‘Shoelaces & Cigarettes,’ which then became ‘F*** You, New York,’ and finally, ‘59 Carmine Street’. Thank you @jwesformes @filmsexpand for being the reason this film exists, thank you for seeing me and believing in this story. Thank you for introducing me to @iconicizzy who fell in love with FU,NY, and transformed it into what it is now. To every single human who poured their entire beings, time, energy, and love into this piece, I am deeply grateful for you.
