May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we must recognize the relationship between Mental Health and Addiction in order to provide the best treatment possible.

Impact's comprehensive approach is exactly what the science says works. Through specialized, evidence-based psychological care and therapy, our patients can be the healthiest versions of themselves while reintegrating into their communities.
This month and every month, remember that you never know what someone else is going through. Check in with your loved ones, and take care of each other. 💚

Introducing The Susan E. Riley Intake Center!
Every person that walks through our doors deserves comfort, support, and a second chance. Which is why Impact approached the Susan E. Riley Foundation to help us renovate our administrative office. They approved a grant that was initially intended for just bathroom upgrades and carpet replacement, but thanks to Impact's facilities team, a full remodel of the intake area was achieved, creating a welcoming environment for new patients.
With minimal disruption to our admissions process, the work was completed this spring. Finally, the space (once dim and outdated, as seen in the before picture) is now bright, comfortable, and warm.
On behalf of the people we serve, Impact is eternally grateful to the Susan E. Riley Foundation for funding this remodel. We are now able to show all who enter our facility that we are committed to our patients, treating them with dignity from intake to discharge.

On May 21st, families, alumni, patients, and staff gathered to celebrateover 50 Impact program graduates!
People who, months ago, could not imagine going a single day without relying on drugs or alcohol, now hold their head high to signify their adherence to a new journey in recovery through the 12-steps.
Graduation is a completion. The end of one stage, and the beginning of another. However, these milestones are not meant to be stop signs for the men and women that come to Impact for help. They are meant to be celebrations of progress.
Impact stands with each of our program graduates to enforce the promise that we will continue to walk this path with them.

Last night, Impact was invited to the Pasadena City Council Public Safety Committee meeting, which is held monthly to review policies related to law enforcement, public wellness, and other community safety matters.
We were honored to present on our Impact Alliance program which requires new recruits of the Pasadena Police Department to participate in an all-day orientation at Impact Treatment Center.
This partnership, now in its third year of implementation, provides a unique opportunity for new recruits to learn more about members of the community they will be protecting, including those who struggle with addiction. It also gives our patients and staff the opportunity to build rapport and trust with local police officers. On both ends, reducing stigma leads to more compassionate treatment and a safer community.
Our strong partnership with the Pasadena Police Department has had a tremendously positive impact on the population we serve and the community as a whole, and for that we are grateful.
Thank you to the Pasadena City Council for allowing us time to speak on this and for facilitating this great relationship between Impact and city institutions.

Sometimes you have to think outside the box to preserve the integrity of what is inside it, and for us, that means protecting the bird in our logo by building systems that actually allow it to fly.
We were honored to welcome Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman to Impact this week at our invitation to see the work in action.
There is a powerful irony in a District Attorney, someone charged with prosecution and public safety, stepping into a treatment environment and recognizing that safer communities are often built by taking thoughtful chances on the right individuals. Drug Court represents that balance. It is structured, accountable, and rooted in clear expectations, while offering an alternative path that creates real opportunity for change.
As the first Drug Court provider in California in 1994, we have remained committed to this model for decades and will continue into the future, working alongside the courts, law enforcement, and our community partners. This “carrot and stick” approach is not just philosophy. It is a proven framework that combines accountability with opportunity, and it requires strong, thoughtful policy to sustain and expand its impact across systems.
What we shared was not theory. It was the lived reality of individuals doing the work, being held accountable, and rebuilding their lives through structure, education, and connection.
Thank you, Mr. Hochman, for believing in our mission and for your commitment to policies that support this balance.
Together, we are helping individuals become productive members of society, living a program of recovery grounded in the 12 Steps while strengthening public safety in a meaningful and lasting way.

Dialogue prompts understanding. Understanding prompts collaboration. Collaboration promotes change.
Impact is grateful to the Pasadena Police Department for the continuation of our Impact Alliance Program.
During this round of orientation, Impact got to welcome Officer Laiza Robertson and Cpl. Veronica Burns for a full day of experience through the eyes of Impact's staff and our patients.
Conversations between law-enforcement and our staff, education on the work that Impact does for our previously incarcerated population, and dialogue between police and addicts in recovery is all on the agenda. What plays out is a transformative day of stigma reduction and another step on the journey towards real change in the community.
Thank you to Officer Robertson, Cpl. Burns, and Chief Harris for their support of the mission of Impact.

With gratitude and the mission in our hearts, we are proud to announce that Impact has, once again, been conditionally awardedthe State of California’s Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) funding.
As the recipients of an award of over $5 million dollars, Impact will be able to construct a new facility and establish a beacon of hope in a community that is just starting to rebuild.
The Impact Altadena House for Women with Children will bridge the gap in care for a population for which there are not enough options for this kind of help.
Our deepest thanks to the Department of Healthcare Services, the Advocates for Human Potential, and the countless voices that have helped to amplify the work that we do here.
We look forward to all that is to come.

Today, I had the privilege of speaking to a group of men at @impacttreatmentprograms
These men are in the arena—doing the hard, internal work of overcoming addiction and criminality to become the leaders their families and communities need.
Standing in front of them, I was hit with a profound sense of perspective. Seeing them at the beginning of their journey was a vivid reminder of where I once was. It’s easy to get caught up in the "high-level" world of consulting and coaching, but today reminded me that the most important leadership battle is the one we fight within ourselves.
I was reminded of the power of gratitude for the "little" things. We often take the basics for granted until they are stripped away. Seeing the hunger for change in their eyes re-centered me on what really matters.
A huge thank you to @eckharttolle and @eckharttollefoundation for the book donation. Your work has been transformative in my own life, and I know providing these copies to these men will be a catalyst for their own awakening and growth.
To the men at Impact: thank you for your vulnerability and your fire. Keep battling. The world needs the men you are becoming.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
