Always impressed by how well loose bearing hubs hold up. This Ritchey 8/9speed hub has definitely seen some miles, not a single part needed replacing but the dirt was stuck on like glue. Proper good deep clean and she’s all good to roll around on a new wheel build. Just a shame the etching didn’t hold up to the modern parts washer fluid. Give me bomb proof over lightweight any day 💣💣💣

I’m no wheel building wizard but I do love doing it. It’s the only time I’m ever actually able to sit still…..because I’m not actually sitting still. I put some clips from the build I did over two days with a couple of my favourite songs to cruise around London to; and workshop noise for good measure. Managed to finish it right on time for close. Should be good for another several thousand miles…. I hope🤞🏻
