RETRO RESILIENCE: The 70’s Housewife Reimagined | @lucysmagazine

[ Part 1 ] The concept for this series began with inspiration from the classic film The Stepford Wives and evolved into a deeper narrative centered on a 1970s housewife archetype. This character has grown children who have left the home, while her husband is frequently absent, always “working.” Her daily life is a meticulous yet lonely routine—she cleans an already spotless home, monitors her weight, bakes for an empty household, returns from grocery trips to solitude, argues on the phone with her husband, dines alone, constantly forgets items in her 1977 Mercedes, and obsessively watches her neighbors, all while maintaining a glamorous image. After 10 years in marketing and advertising, I’m finding my own way to express what I'm most passionate about —creating incredible work with amazing people. I do this through set design/prop work, styling, producing, and offering creative direction (+ throwing the occasional concert on a mountain top), which allows me to be a jackknife across the projects I touch.
