🌿🪴 A Garden and Its Manifestors 🌱🌿
On October 18–19, over 50 volunteers gathered to transform our parking lot garden plots — and turned gravel into green magic. 💚
It all started when a few volunteers asked what we planned to do with the forgotten soil around The Cottage.
We said: “We’d love to, but… we’re maxed out.”
They said: “We’ll handle it.” ✨
They dreamed up a community garden project that would:
🌿 Supply herbs for our café, bakery, and bar
🐝 Support pollinators & local ecosystems
🌸 Create outdoor beauty & connection
They reached out, organized, and rallied — and with the help of Otherworld Gardens (@otherworldgardens) & Jackson Shrub (who donated a 5-ton truckload of plants!!- @jackson_shrub), our gravel patch became a living, blooming garden. 🌼
Now we have Cape Honeysuckle, Rosemary, Lavender, Jasmine, Toyon Trees, and more — plus a composting station for our restaurant! 🌱
We are endlessly grateful to our green witches, volunteers, and community supporters who made this transformation possible.

🌴 Before & After: From blank rock to Hawaiian paradise! 🌸

For the World Premiere of Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, @bcreativedesignsla had the honor of transforming this waterfall feature into a lush, tropical showpiece for The Hawaiian Visitors & Convention Bureau — their backdrop for live interviews straight from the blue carpet! 🎤🌊

Dave got the water flowing (which was no small feat!!) and Bren worked her plant magic, selecting only flowers and greenery that truly grow in the Hawaiian Islands. Every fern, vine, palm, and pop of color was chosen to reflect the authentic island landscape — and yes, they noticed! 💚

The HVCB team loved the detail and intention behind this installation, and we loved helping bring a bit of Hawaii to Hollywood Blvd.
