Rest easy E-Jack. One of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. Can’t believe it.

These past few days have been incredibly difficult as we said goodbye to our beloved Mom. In her 90+ years, she journeyed from escaping persecution in Baghdad to building a new life in Israel, and eventually coming to the U.S. with our father. Together, they raised three children and welcomed countless others into our home, where she became a surrogate mom to many.

Mom was fiercely strong-willed and resilient, living life on her terms. She passed down that same tenacity to us, always encouraging us to forge our own paths.

Even in her final moments, she chose her own way. Though there is a huge hole in our hearts, her love, energy, and legacy live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone who called her mom, sister, cousin, or friend.

Mom, may your life continue to be a blessing. We will miss you dearly.

One more game. 5 years of Georgia Southern football and today at noon it will all come to an end. Eagle Nation, it's been a wild and fun ride. Today marks 16 years since my father passed.

And today, I’m spending it beside my son on an incredible trip, making memories that will stay with me forever. Moments like these don’t come around nearly enough, which is exactly why they matter so much.

Life keeps reminding me that time is the one thing we can never earn back.

Another scoop from my Italy adventure—sure, the food was great, but let’s not sugarcoat it: I was on a gelato tour disguised as a vacation. Cone-fession time… I never said no to a scoop (or three). If there was a Gelato Olympics, I’d be bringing home gold. 🥇

Today, I had the humbling honor of visiting Arlington National Cemetery. Walking among the rows of white headstones, each one a testament to the sacrifices made for our freedoms, was an experience I will never forget.
The silence there speaks louder than words, a reminder of the courage, dedication, and ultimate price so many have paid in service to our country. Watching the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was especially moving—a symbol of unwavering respect and gratitude for those who gave everything.
This visit was a powerful reminder to never take for granted the liberties we enjoy, and to always honor those who made them possible.

Had the incredible opportunity to attend my first Army-Navy game. While the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, the traditions, pageantry, and atmosphere made it an unforgettable experience.
The overwhelming support for our military and the young men and women dedicated to protecting our freedoms was truly inspiring.
We also got to spend time with Drew, one of my longest-tenured long snapper students, and reconnect with our son’s first college coaches. These men had such a profound impact on his life, and we feel blessed to continue the friendship all these years later.
