Throughout @jduboff’s debut novel, ‘Early Thirties,’ his characters eat, drink, and gossip at some true NYC classics, including The Odeon, Cervo’s, Altro Paradiso, and more.
Given the central role restaurants play in the novel, it’s no surprise that Josh has spent hours in the spots on this guide, hanging out in the name of “research.” Here are his favorites. Link in bio for the full guide.

@melton sat down with Josh Duboff for a five-egg scramble and a conversation about his spiritual side, the ‘Riverdale’ group chat, and how Lee Sung Jin got him onto ‘Beef.’
It was the release of Todd Haynes’s ‘May December’ in 2023 that heralded his arrival as one of the top rising Hollywood talents (Melton garnered Golden Globe and Critics Choice noms for the film, which also starred Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman). To play the role of Joe, an earnest father of three, Melton put on about 40 pounds, shedding the image of the high-school jock heartthrob (and simultaneously transitioning from the realm of soapy teen drama to prestige cinema).
Now the actor—a military brat and former college football player—is playing a country club trainer in the hit @netflix limited series Beef’s second season, alongside Carey Mulligan, Cailee Spaeny, Oscar Isaac, Youn Yuh-jung, and Song Kang-ho. Melton has received particular plaudits in the reviews, though he may not see them, as he says he tries to mostly avoid reading about his projects and has someone else posting for him on Instagram. The actor also just became a dad for the first time, with his partner Camille Summers-Valli, a director and photographer; the two split time now between LA and Paris. If there was anything making him anxious on the April morning @jduboff met him, it wasn’t a post-premiere hangover or anything of that nature—it’s that he is desperate to get back to LA to be with his family.

Jeremy O. Harris—gregarious, sharp, ebullient—is the dream meal companion, so who better to kick off our new column Morning People, where @jduboff quizzes your favorite cultural figures over breakfast, than the actor-turner-playwright-turned-producer-turned-actor-again.
“Equally at ease discussing TikTok dances as he is the fraught national political moment, Harris reminds me at times of a millennial Fran Lebowitz,” Duboff writes in the first installment of the column. “We don’t have all that many fearless public cultural commentators; this thought occurred to me again when I read about Harris confronting OpenAI CEO Sam Altman at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, a few days after our meet-up.”
The writer—whose 2018 ‘Slave Play’ received 12 Tony nominations—is, as ever, incredibly busy. His latest onscreen appearance, in Pete Ohs’s drama ‘Erupcja,’ which he co-wrote and co-produced with Charli XCX, who also stars, is out on April. He’s also writing his first nonfiction project, based on the three weeks he spent in custody in Japan in November, after he was arrested on suspicion of bringing MDMA into the country.

Morning People is a new column from CULTURED in which you’ll hear from some of the most interesting minds in the culture. @jduboff will be having breakfast with a different person each month for a free-flowing discussion about what’s inspiring them, what keeps them up at night, and what they’re making of the world, the arts, and the industries around them.

Link in bio to read Harris sound off on that experience, Letterboxd grades, and brokewave cinema. (And to see what he orders for breakfast!)

A real fantasy of an April evening at Aman New York . . . It was so fun and special getting to talk with Kaia Gerber about “Early Thirties” — we also touched on Daily Mail headlines, ginger ale, Lorde, swear words, wondering if your friends are mad at you, & more !!!
THANK YOU KAIA / ALYSSA / LIBRARY SCIENCE ❤️❤️

Interview Magazine !!! !!!!!
Thank you dream interviewer @alisoneroman ❤️

EARLY THIRTIES is out today.
In a lot of ways, it’s felt very vulnerable writing and promoting a book. I am so appreciative of & overwhelmed by how supportive people have been - it’s made an enormous difference.
I spent about five years in total working on the novel - drafting, rewriting, rearranging index cards like Carrie in “Homeland,” revising. I wrote a lot of it in Boston and then a good portion in New York. I texted Sam and Alyssa pretty much daily with gripes and breakthroughs and “does this reference make sense?” queries. I listened to “Melodrama” by Lorde and the “This is Ariana Grande” Spotify playlist for probably a combined thousand hours while writing. I kept a JPEG of Cameron Diaz walking out of a car clutching a laptop saved on my own laptop the entire time. I went through a minimum of three cans of Canada Dry every day.
I am so incredibly thankful for my agent Elias & my editor James, my guides and companions during this journey.
I’m thrilled (& definitely have not yet processed) that’s it’s out in the world now !! It’s been really special so far hearing people’s reactions / questions / favorite lines - if you read the novel, send ‘em along !
The book is dedicated to my mom!!!!

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
Anonstories lets users view Instagram stories without alerting the creator.
Works seamlessly on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and modern browsers like Chrome and Safari.
Prioritizes secure, anonymous browsing without requiring login credentials.
Users can view public stories by simply entering a username—no account needed.
Downloads photos (JPEG) and videos (MP4) with ease.
The service is free to use.
Content from private accounts can only be accessed by followers.
Files are for personal or educational use only and must comply with copyright rules.
