We shot up at 3am this morning to the sound of our 4 year old yelling for us. If you’ve never had to change sheets in the middle of the night: it’s a blurry, can’t-fix-it-later type of experience. But we walked in, and like a surgical SWAT team, split up into our duties as if we were swiftly dismantling a cartel base, all without a word— and when the button of the washer had been pressed, retuned to bed…without a trace.
Now. This isn’t the top happiest, best, or favorite memory of us— but as I went through the literal 10k+ photos that I have of you through the years— it just reminded me of what a team we are through each stage.
Before now, it was breezing through security at the airport; the ultimate goal was to walk onto the plane with coffee in hand RIGHT as your group boarded. It was saying the exact same type of food at the exact same moment when we talked about what’s for dinner. It’s the first drink being set down at the table on the first date in too long. Then was planning for the future— jobs, houses, goals, trips, dreams, kids.
So today, even waking up at whatever ungodly hour it was, knowing we both trusted one another— just like the coffee order at the airport: I’ve never loved you more in any day than today… celebrating 10 years of marriage.
I love our past, present, and suiting up together for the future. happy 10, my @allyfeathers ♥️
