the major arcana of trickster’s journey, first published as artist deck + companion zine, edition of 125, by @endlesseditions in 2018.

this project started as a translation of the fool’s journey through the lens of trickster, monkey, buddhist/daoist spiritualism — comparative journeying.

new expanded incarnation, complete with minor arcana of last post, out next spring via @runningpressbooks @hachetteus 🌱

1. major arcana / 2. about / 3. last extant personal copy of the @endlesseditions glamorously oversized risograph artist deck, hand-duplexed via spray glue in a stairwell, hand-trimmed via rotary!! feat lil worm @teresalijun / 4. wyrm in motion

trickster’s journey, my chinese mythic reimagining of tarot, is finally complete as a 78 card deck. i wanted to share the new 56 minor arcana cards i’ve been working on all year and ideating since the major arcana was published with beloved @endlesseditions in 2018. this new expanded incarnation will be coming to you in spring 2023 through @runningpressbooks , and by the grace of best editor ada zhang and agent @clare.mao and the whole amazing RP team!

my reinterpreted minor arcana syncretizes the traditional suits of cups/coins/wands/swords with the Four Symbols, guardians of the four cardinal directions who were present as constellations in ancient star maps, so that the suits become a miniature cosmos to house the worldbuilding of the major arcana. sneak peek as follows:

1. COINS, ruled by Blue Dragon, guardian of the East, tied to the element of earth and the season of spring, dealing with the realm of material concerns / 2. CUPS, ruled by Black Tortoise, guardian of the North, tied to water and winter, dealing with the realm of emotions and relationships / 3. WANDS, ruled by Red Bird, guardian of the South, tied to fire and summer, associated with creativity and action / 4. SWORDS, ruled by White Tiger, guardian of the West, tied to air and autumn, connected to matters of thought and intellect / 5-8. scans from the paper scrap i kept for palette swatching + brush wiping while working on these

Jia Sung (@jiazilla) is a Singaporean Chinese artist and educator whose practice centers marginalized stories through a syncretic, narrative-driven approach shaped by her immigrant experience. Sung incorporates textile and embroidery in her paintings, which draws on motifs from Chinese mythology and Buddhist iconography, ultimately using the familiar visual language of folklore to tackle contemporary themes.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
