Two weeks ago I posted what I thought would be a fun game: Currently, one of my databases has 3,682 image pages, with about 52 records per page. As you know, I often do a deep dive in the archive to search for images to share with you, but, in the original post I asked YOU to pick! I’ve received nearly 1,000 comments with your page # picks (which is more than enough!) I’ve already randomly selected some of the responses, and will continue to do so. For today, it’s # 1,924 of 3,682: “China, 1978.” Page # chosen by @tobinchad

Known as a pioneering figure who revolutionized color photography in the 1960s and 70s, Joel Meyerowitz was instrumental in establishing photography as a legitimate fine-art medium. As a central figure in “New Color Photography,” he embraced color to capture the “field” or totality of urban life—moving beyond a single “decisive moment” to something more immersive and atmospheric.
His iconic photograph “Young Dancer,” 34th Street and 9th Ave from the Empire State series encapsulates the spontaneity and layered energy of New York—where gesture, movement, and environment converge in a fleeting yet fully realized scene.
Now on view at The Photography Show Presented by AIPAD, at Polka Galerie [@polkagalerie] (Booth A4), April 22–26 at the Park Avenue Armory.

Visit us in 💫Booth C4💫 to view a solo exhibition of street photographs by the legendary Joel Meyerowitz at The Photography Show presented by @aipadphoto from April 22 through April 26.
Widely regarded as a pioneer of color photography, Meyerowitz was among the first photographers to challenge the dominance of black-and-white in serious artistic practice. His work from this period reflects a new visual language that is improvisational, immersive, and attuned to the sensory immediacy of the street.

Superb evening in the company of one of the world’s greatest photographers, @joel_meyerowitz, an on-stage interview to mark his Outstanding Achievement in Photography award @worldphotoorg.
From first hitting the streets of NYC with a borrowed Leica in ‘62, to the villages of Andalusia & beaches of Cape Cod, Joel is a pioneering master of the medium. His energy & enthusiasm at 88 is astonishing, held a packed theatre rapt with stories from seven decades of image making. His memories of being the only photographer granted access to the still burning ruins of the World Trade Centre in 2001, were very moving.
Delighted that my brilliant photographer brother @robertwilson9 was able to swap notes on shutter speeds & f-stops with one of his heroes 📷

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
