Happy to share that Sea Change: Uncovering the Unseen won the Curator’s Choice Award for the Digital Graffiti Festival. @scottmcmahonphoto and I have been working on this piece since last October so it was exciting to see the final projected results.

Glass plate negatives documenting a variety of fish species at the turn of the 20th century were lost in a specimen collection in the basement of a University Biology building, rediscovered over 100 years later. These plates serve as a record of the water damage, deteriorating the photographic image in a serendipitous way. Water, the life-force for these fish, also becomes the culprit of decay.
Samples of ocean water collected from San Diego, where the research of the first female ichthyologist, Rosa Smith Eigenmann was conducted, are examined at a microscopic level, combining an element of artistic discovery with the scientific research. These photographic plates have been transformed over the past 100 years, much like our aquatic ecosystems. We use the archive to re-frame and repurpose this scientific research and methods of discovery through artistic interpretation.

A big thank you to @john_colette for seeing the value in our archival art and science based production methods and for recognizing our work! My first @dgalysbeach was 10 years ago, so receiving this honor felt like a full circle moment. Also thank you to @iumediaschool for awarding this project with a Barbara Restle Grant to fund the research and production. #projectionmapping #bioart #ichthyology #artscience #videoart

Fatima Al-Muftah‘s work @dgalysbeach brought the idea of Bayt Al Sha’ar tenting, where guests are welcomed to gather for Majlis to experience hospitality and community. The Al-Sadu weaving of the tent fabric happens on a massive scale and entire buildings within the projection occasionally give glimpses of the landscape and animals of Qatar. 🇶🇦 A perfect bookend to the sweeping view of this structure afforded by the crossroads of @alysbeach. This@massive image enhances the communal lounges where festival goers sit and socialize framed in the light of young, emerging artists from around the world. Fatima wanted people to be touched by the image of her culture, and it could not have been more appropriate. Our world and its many people are closer, kinder and more hospitable than we are led to believe. May we all come together more. ❤️🙏🏻 #vcuqatar #vcuqkinetic #projectionmapping #qatar

Eddy Katt and Arsen Vasquez’ “Kenosis” subverts the sensibilities of the fashion image through cutting, layering and provoking it into a graphic interaction with the built form. At this three story scale it was a complete crowd (and judges) favorite! #dgalysbeach #architectureprojection #panasonicprojectors #projectionmapping #projectionmappingevents #photographer #mediaart #design #alysbeachfl

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
