Gaithersburg! What a terrific festival. Had such a great conversation with @sam__sussman (The Boy from North Country), moderated by @carolinebockauthor (The Other Beautiful People). Fifty minutes felt so fast. Now off to France 🇫🇷

A belated post about Booktopia at @northshirebooks. I could blame the delay on grading and commencement, but really, I just wanted to post this when things were quiet and I had a chance to collect my thoughts.
The affection I have for Booktopia and the people I’ve met there—first in 2016 and now in 2026—is unlike any other. This is the kind of book event that I think every writer hopes to be a part of, filled with readers who are curious, kind, fun, and thoughtful. (If you’re a writer and your publicist ever asks if you want to participate in Booktopia, don’t say no! You won’t regret it.)
Thanks again to everyone who was a part of this wonderful weekend — the staff at Northshire Books, the participating authors, and most of all, the readers and friends whom I was so happy to see again. Here are the pics I actually managed to take 👉
Nicole Ihasz, co-owner of Northshire Books and my conversation partner 👉
Authors Emma Parry, John Sayles, and @stephenpkiernan1 in conversation about historical fiction 👉
Authors Emma Parry, Alia Hanna Habib, and @lomo_bk in conversation with Rachel Persons about publishing 👉
Authors Kim Van Alkemade and @jiminhanwriter in conversation about their new books👉
Authors I didn’t manage to get photos of - the incredible @tkiramadden, @sggilmore, Jennifer Dugan, and Saratoga Schaefer 👉
The insane gas guzzler that I drove from Baltimore to VT (I reserved a midsize. This was all Enterprise had left ). @bookcougars called it the Wildebeest and that’s the perfect name for it 👉
The little beasts who were waiting for me when I got home ❤️

Fell deep into the rabbit hole of grading this week, so I’m late to post this photo from last week’s event with Kate Reed Petty at @parkbooksmd.
Loved yakking with @pettykate and want to take a moment to say thanks again to all the people I’ve been in conversation with these past two months. It’s WORK to be someone’s interlocutor, and I’m grateful these brilliant people were so generous with their time and energy, including… 👉

Last week in pictures:
Talked about #alltheworldcanhold with @baltimorebanner reporter Maya Lora twice last week - once for an interview and the second time at the Baltimore Banner’s monthly book club meeting 👉
Ate oysters and more at @dylansoystercellar 👉
Watched the O’s get pummeled (but got a free hockey jersey 🤷🏼♀️) 👉
Drank wine in the rain at @oldwestminsterwinery 👉
Listened to a wonderful conversation between @m_a_hernandez and @_topefolarin at @politicsprose 👉
Gave Buddy a minor haircut. He still looks like a member of Fall Out Boy.

Last night’s cruise-themed dinner to celebrate #alltheworldcanhold was such a good time! This menu brought me back to the past in the best possible way (that prime rib and foccacia 🤤) 👉
Thank you to everyone at @hershspizza and @theivybookshop for making the event possible. And thank you to all these lovely people for coming 👉👉
… including this #baltimore #bookclub that’s been going strong for 15 years. (I love hanging out with book clubs btw. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!)
Thanks so much, everyone. My heart and stomach are (still) very full 🧡

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles.
