They might look the same but the cuffs on the 2023/24 boots have some exciting improvements!

• The sideways and heel side flex is slightly softer to allow for a bit more tweak when needed and a more comfortable ride feel.

• By using a new cuff material, the boots are 50 - 70g lighter per foot (depending on size).

The forward flex remains the same and for those preferring a stiffer flex, we also offer a stiff version of the tongues.

🔍 for those with excellent vision and an eye for detail: the walk/ride mechanism in the picture is the old 2021/22 version. Sometimes when testing new versions of the boots, we use old spare parts for the assembly 😊

Our goal when developing the Disruptive boots was to achieve the damping and dynamic ride feel of a softboot but with added edge control.

Having had @kriskopa testing the boots to their limits has been invaluable to confirm the design choices we’ve made over the years.

We’re excited to release a wrap version of our splitboard liner!

While it shares the same great materials as our regular liner, it has a few key differences:

+ Possible to get a tighter fit around the calves (good if you have skinny calves). If you have bigger/muscular calves, the regular version might be a better fit.

+ A little bit more damping/shock absorption on toe edge.

+ More comfort over the instep when flexing into the tongue.

- A little bit more resistance in walk mode.

I’ve been skeptical about hard boots for years because I love the flex of soft boots. I liked touring in my old hard-boot setup, but riding down never felt quite right.

This season I moved to the @keyequipment + @phantomsnowindustries setup, and it’s the closest thing to a soft-boot feel I’ve ever had in a hard boot. The lateral flex lets me drive turns, and the progressive front flex gives me quick control when I need it. Add the touring benefits, and I’m really happy with the setup!
