Work in progress:
Festivaljakke med inspiration fra J.P. Jakobsens digt ‘Arabesk. Til en Haandtegning af Michel Angelo. Kvindeprofil med sænkede Blikke i Gangen mellem Pitti og Ufficierne’.
Vintermismodet har bidt ekstra hårdt i år, men broderi er terapi har jeg opdaget, selvom jeg ikke har broderet noget siden jeg var en meget lille pige, og lærte det af kvinderne i min familie.
Jakobsen var cool, skrev vidunderligt livskraftigt og sanseligt om livet, angsten, skønheden, naturen, vin og døden. Han var også uddannet botaniker, og var den første der oversatte Darwin til dansk.
Nu mangler jeg bare at brodere ryggen og ærmerne, og så er jeg fin til sommerens festivaller.

Dommens Øde.
Tror der huserer et Black Metal orkester i elevatoren om natten. Langt hår. Langt skæg. Tekster af danske guldalderdigtere. Krusedulle logo. Masser af spade!
Påskeferie. Bedst som jeg tuller rundt i nærområdet og passer mine egne sager, møder jeg det her band. 👁️
Efterårsferie og der er tid til at kigge i gemmerne. I dag fandt jeg denne Vivienne Westwood halskæde, og kom til at smile. Vivienne Westwood døde jo desværre i 2022, og mere modekyndige end jeg har skrevet om hendes enorme betydning som modeskaber, aktivist, forretningskvinde og punk ikon.
Glitterkranier funklede i en periode alle steder, og på den måde er halskæden her på sin vis et fint eksempel på hvordan Vivienne Westwoods arbejde blandende punk og high fashion, der straks spredte sig som ringe i vandet ud i mainstream tøjkulturen. Hun brændte som en lysende fakkel, og står for mig som en kvinde, der både kunne provokere, le af the establishment og samtidigt være afsindig sikker i sine kollektioner.
Tak for det hele, Vivienne, og for at gå forrest, på grund af dig kan andre mennesker nu tillade sig at klæde lidt anderledes, leve anderledes end normen. Mode er også et sprog.
