I can see us again, deciding to quit school, smoking our first joints, talking for hours about the futur like two kids who thought they were untouchable.
I was struggling to make Hardcore Breakbeat like a Londoner, you were learning every verse of Public Enemy like an American.
For most people, it would’ve stopped there — just two stoned teenagers messing around instead of going to class.
Fortunately… you had a bit more sense than me. You sent one of our demos to a studio.
And from a teenage pastime in the middle of nowhere in Belgium, we somehow ended up crossing the planet — and it became our life.
Only now do I realize how truly legendary that trip was.
