Year Twenty Twenty-MORE ✨

This year has not at all gone how I imagined. The first two months were very difficult. I was damaged and challenged in a lot of ways.

BUT it’s not over. I want more for my life. I want more out of this year, and there is still a lot of time.

I AM COMMITTED TO GROWTH. Some people don’t want to grow. Some people wish to stay stuck where they are and won’t allow themselves to accept that there is more to life. Some people like to be miserable. I’m not one of those people.

Being in this low space, feeling so far removed from myself, my best & highest self has been horrible. Simply. But I know there is MORE for me. Better for me. Happier days, fulfilling days. More life, love, growth. Greater opportunities. Productivity. Alignment.

Honestly, I’ve been having a hard time seeing beyond more than a few days. I really have been taking life one day at a time. There have been many strange & difficult developments that are completely out of my control, and they certainly got the better of me.

But I was reminded that although we can’t, God can see 10 steps down the road. There is more to life, and there is more to this year. And I’m working hard to believe that and take steps toward a life that I love. I look forward to this new direction, and tackling life from a place of empowerment - even when I don’t feel strong enough.

It’s not over. Keep your head up. I don’t have the capacity right now to be there for other people the way I usually am, but I’m sending love to all those who need it. And thank you for those who have been at least trying to be there for me - I do appreciate it.

I don’t know yet exactly what this year will bring, but it will be better & brighter. The rest of the year is the best of the year 🙏🏾✨

I miss everything about this photo, this moment. Above all I miss who I was in that moment, that version of myself. I’m much happier in the Caribbean, I just am.

It’s been very difficult being separated from the places/spaces/faces I’ve grown to love. I’ve been back in Toronto now for twice as long as I hoped/planned for.

This year has not at all gone the way I expected. I’ve been dealing with A LOT. I’m a very private person. So if you know, you probably only know half, and if you don’t know, you probably never will. I’m slowly coming to terms with the fact that for reasons - some of which I don’t yet comprehend - here is where I’m supposed to be right now.

My friend taught me: “The rest of the year is the best of the year.” I have to trust that God has a plan for me and that better days are ahead. One day at a time.
