With the Oxford Anthology 1st screening completed it was so overwhelming to hear how many people had “Hand to Heart” as their favourite film. This along with The Unfortunate Tales of Love, were two films that I had written. (the unfortunate tales of love got a crazy good reception too may I add) What’s special about this to me is because I had failed English at school. I remember my English teacher saying i’ll never be able to amount to much before moving me down a set. The following week I was back in her class because the teacher in the lower set said I didn’t belong there. I think this with the unfortunate Tales of Love is my best work as a director, storyteller and as an overall filmmaker. To be able to make the audience feel an intended emotion is something I’ve always strived to do in my stories and if you were there i’m sure I was able to do that. Thank you to everyone who was involved in this film.
