Meine Mutter war Lehrerin. Das hatte sehr viel Gutes, manchmal war es herausfordernd. Aber für mich war es vor allem das: Sie hat meinen Wissensdurst gefördert und ihr Wissen mit mir geteilt. Das tut sie heute noch.

Wie sprechen wir mit Kindern über Themen des Lebens, die schwer greifbar sind? Wie zeigen wir ihnen, was in ihnen steckt? Und was Stärke bedeutet?

Eine große Hilfe sind gute Erklärungsbücher und genau das hat WAS IST WAS über viele Jahre im deutschsprachigen Raum perfektioniert. Wer von euch kennt sie nicht?

Deshalb freue ich mich, dass wir mit dem Tessloff Verlag zusammenarbeiten, um Kindern zu vermitteln, was echte Stärke ausmacht. Sich selbst kennen und Vertrauen in sich haben.

Mein Wunsch: Lest das Buch gemeinsam mit euren Kindern. Sprecht über Stärke.
Nichts ist wichtiger als die Erkenntnis, dass wir dabei genauso viel von ihnen lernen, wie wir ihnen mitgeben.

My mother was a teacher. That brought a lot of good things, though at times it was challenging. But above all, this is what it meant to me: she nurtured my thirst for knowledge and shared her expertise with me. And she still does today.

How do we talk to children about the aspects of life that are difficult to grasp? How do we show them what they are capable of? And what strength really means?

Great educational books are an enormous help, and that is exactly what WAS IST WAS has perfected over many years in the German-speaking world.
Who among you doesn’t know them?

WHU Executive Education is launching “Competing under Pressure – The Klitschko Leadership Program” in autumn 2026, delivered at the Düsseldorf campus in conjunction with Klitschko Ventures and their CEO @tatjanakiel.
Across three intensive three-day modules, the program will couple WHU’s academic excellence with the experience and the high-performance principles of long-time boxing champion and entrepreneur Dr. Wladimir Klitschko @klitschko. Participants will learn to act with confidence in highly complex situations or when setbacks arise, even in the face of continued uncertainty.
